August Fare Down $20 (ours is Hartford-Orlando)

I know, not much compared to what some others have posted, but this is the very 1st drop for our dates and location (Hartford, CT = Bradley airport) including opening day offerings. We're going 8/12-8/21.

Yeah, finally below $1K for the 4 of us:
Had been $1013.20 -- now $947.20, or $236.80 per person round-trip including all taxes and fees.

Still optimistic fares might drop once more, but time will tell, so hang in there all you August travelers

Keep checking all the time and download Southwest Ding if you don't have it. Just got a Ding from Hartford to Orlando last week for June and am flying nonstop rountrip for about $100 a person. I paid $584 for 5 tickets!!!

They also had a Ding for the end of July yesterday that my neighbor was thinking of doing. So I wouldn't be surprised if August also popped up. You could then book that and get a credit on whatever airline you are now booked on.

since your airline is southwest you can rebook your flights to the lower rate and get $20 a travel voucher.

Same airports here- had booked a long Memorial Day weekend trip - got the $69 down rate a while back and when the systemwide rates were announced yesterday morning, not a Ding, I got the $69. rate coming back too. Total for 2 is $317, credit from SWA is $242. Gee, maybe another trip might be possible toward the end of the year?

Yes, that's what I did before I posted. After trip's over, I'll contact SW to get the $s put back on credit card rather than vouchers -- I didn't change the date or flight, just rebooked internet fare at the now-lower internet fare price.
