August discounts for last year

Anyone remember discounts for last August. Planning to go the first or second week in August. We need a budget trip this year so may book room only instead of the FD. I would like to stay at a mod but may need value. Any suggestions. Probably only me and ds12.

I got a AP WL courtyard for $194 and a standard AKL for $144.

There were PINs for 59/night for Values as well. I think other resorts were available but we just didn't ever check this out.

If you are looking for a budget trip, I would definitely go with a value resort since it's only 2 of you. I used to be a deluxe (when I got the CM discount)and moderate snob, but I just can't see paying the price difference anymore. My DS (19) and I stayed at POP this December and he asked why we used to pay so much more for a room when the values are so nice.

If I was going to take a long trip and would have the time (and money) to rent boats, bikes, etc. then it would be worth paying for a moderate - maybe! I do like the privacy curtains, coffee makers and refridgerators in the moderates, but you can join a swap and get 2 out of the 3.

Our dates are right in the middle of 4/3 and free dining. I did the math many times and it really wasn't worth doing a split stay, so right now the only thing we have going is a AAA room discount. I soooooooooo hope that a good room only code will come our way for August!

This might be a dumb question, do BCV and BWV stand for Beach Club and Boardwalk Villas?

We are planning on going in late August and still haven't narrowed down our resort pick!
