How is the crowd on middle of August usually? We plan to go on August 14,15 and wondering if we need to get express tickets.

Thanks

The crowds should be better than they are earlier in the summer, however as it is the summer it will still be pretty busy. The 14th should be less busy than the 15th, and the express pass is cheaper because of that. However, wait to purchase your express pass until you get to the park. The prices are the same online as they are in parks, and I have never seen the express pass sold out. It's always better to wait, because you will be sorely disappointed if you purchase the pass ahead of time and arrive to an empty park.

Thank you so much :)

We go at the same time each year and the crowds aren't too bad. Harry Potter last year was really busy though. We always stay on-site and have the unlimited express pass so we don't have any problems at all. As a reference point, the wait for Rip,Rocket, Ride coaster as anywhere from 45 - 60 min. last year. Usually was shorter than the posted time, since there is no express and we waited in the line. If you aren't staying on-site, I would wait to purchase the express pass until you actually get in the parks to see how the crowds and waits are. Since there is no express for the Forbidden Journey ride that would be the place to head to first since last year the wait time for our first visit to the ride on a Thurs night was 75 min (went quicker though).

I don't think August is as busy as July, or perhaps even June, for that matter. But as has been said already, UE is a good piece of advice. When you arrive at the park, buy UE is neccessary. It will give you good access to most of the rides you want to experience. However, please be aware that UE is not valid for the major ride with undoubtedly the longest wait in Florida (except perhaps Toy Story Mania), which is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Get to WWoHP immediately, as soon as you buy your UE. Just queue up for FJ and it may be over an hour wait even at 9am. But I guarantee that the wait could treble by lunchtime, especially during school holidays such as August (also vacation time for Europeans).
