August condo/hotel

Just found out about a possible last minute trip August 3-10. Where would you go to find something last minute? We've rented at Bonnett Creek, Windsor Hills, and on site but am having to keep lodging costs at a minimum. Just two people travelling so really just need a place to lay our head.

So I just checked with the condo owner that we've stayed at before at Windsor Hills and he's booked. I'm headed to VRBO but what are some community names or subdivisions that you would recommend?

Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Crestwynd Bay.

I'm laughing at August 3rd being "last minute". We rarely book our trips more than about 6 weeks in advance and never have any trouble renting a condo or house. I agree with Gr8t Fan's list but there are plenty of others, too.

Also, check SkyAuction's vacation certificates. The only problem there is that rentals are typically Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday and you're traveling Thursday-Thursday.

That's what I saw when checking out Skyauction. I could shift our dates to August 6-13 but my daughter goes back to school on the 14th so I was trying to give her a few days before school starts back up. Are most places on Skyauction good choices or are there some to avoid?
