August Codes?

Well, my husband turns the big 40 this August and is already telling me not to make a fuss about it - no party, no cake yada, yada, yada... We are huge fans of the Mouse so....my 12 year old and I are secretly planning a week at WDW and will take off from NH on his birthday!! I've checked the codes and so far nothing is listed under "discounts for anyone" beyond July 3. Anyone happen to know if codes will come out for August? We want to stay at Wilderness Lodge but only if we can get a code rate. Any suggestions for a good place to celebrate a birthday meal? It's so much fan planning this as the girls' "secret". He, he.

I'm waiting too. Presently I have ressies for WL but I'm holding onto my CBR ones too, just in case. If rates don't go down then I'll stay at a moderate. But I'm sure the codes will be out soon, and they should be enough to make it possible. So, here we are..all in the same boat. Come on Disney....let's go!!! We're trying to be patient here.

We are going in August too, and we have used codes for the past two years. I have found that they come out in early to mid April for the late summer codes. When you can no longer book for the current code up to 7/3, the next batch of codes usually come out at that time.

How is it you are holding space at 2 hotels... did you use different names or phone numbers? I thought Disney caught on to the double reservation thing.

I never thought about it. I made one ressie last Aug for this coming Aug at CBR using my DC membership. Then last month I used DU to book WL. I never gave it a thought and no one said anything. Oh man. Have I done something wrong?? Think I better call and cancel the CBR one and just hope I get a great code rate. Thanks for noticing that.

We're waiting for codes too. We have ressies at CBR, which we're going to keep....but I'm hoping to bring the cost down. We're booked through DU so our travel specialist is keeping track of the codes and AP rates for us. I'm sure there will be codes available! I can't wait to go because this is my son's first trip to WDW. He turns one on August 8 and we're going the 10th to the 17th. We're getting his first haircut at the Barber Shop on Main Street!

What a coincidence, we are also going to Disney for hubby's 40th in August. We go from Boston at the end of August. I am booking the Wilderness Lodge this weekend and hoping for some good codes.

My hubby knows about the trip. I told him to choose either a large party or the trip.

I cannot wait. It will be almost 2 yrs since our last trip when we go.
