I noticed the values are blocked out from Aug 27-Sept 1 and Sept 16-27th. so maybe if someone's days include a blockout day then it would be available if you did a split stay ( if it falls w/in your dates of course)? Just thinking about the person who called for a ressie for their Mom during the FD period. I also read the email seeing that it DID include the values. As usual, keep calling as people book and cx all the time. It's always best to hold something "just in case" and have some time to think about it, otherwise if you call back what you wanted could be gone.---Kathy

I booked a value using the current code between Sep 22 and 27 with no problems.

I am book for the end of August at CBR with Free Dining with upgrade to Deluxe Dining. How could the code help me? I am brand new to codes. When I booked my trip in April, I did not have a code. But I would love to upgrade to a Deluxe. Thanks for any info you all can give me.

You cannot have free dining with room only rate. You can get the magic your way package with the discounted room (per mousesavers). My TA was able to switch our free dining to room only rate at BC. Mousesavers advises that this switch is a better deal for deluxe resorts.

there are different codes for room only, MYW package, with dining etc. This is what Mousesavers has listed as codes:

DDH Room Only code
DCT regular Magic Your Way package
DDK for a package with Dining Plan
DDN for a package with Deluxe Dining
DDL for a package with Dining Plan & Wine
DDO for a package with Deluxe Dining & Wine.

We booked a room only reservation for the first four nights with the DDH code, then we have a separate reservation for free dining for the last 3 nights. HTH

as posted above, the discount does not include free dining. If you book a package it is a discount on the room portion of the package then you pay for dining. With free dining, you pay rack rate for the room then get dining for free. It depends on which resort level you are staying at as to which discount is the better deal.

Mousesavers has it posted that free dining is the better deal at value and moderate resort levels. If you are wanting to upgrade to deluxe, this new code may be a better deal. Just call CRO to have them price it out for you and compare.

On the DW website, I can only see the room only code - the package code (we'd want DCT) is not under special offers. Am I missing something, or is the package deal just not on the website yet?

This is so confusing for me....I have booked the POR for Aug. 11-22 with a AAA discount. Can I use a code at this point for a better deal? And what do I say when I call? I didn't book any dining plan because AAA is for room only. I have been to WDW so many times but never seem to get a deal...HELP!

Yes, if there is availability you can use the new code. It will save you a few dollars off the AAA rate. If you want to add dining, you can also get the room discount with the codes (unlike with the AAA rate).

I was able to switch my AAA rate at POFQ to the room only code (DDH) and saved almost $200 more (I have 2 rooms).

Call Disney and ask them if there is availability for your dates. They can make the switch for you.

you can not combine discounts...it's either AP discount or general public discount. I don't know which one will be a better price for you. the best thing to do is to call and get a price to compare.

we were booked at POR with room only AAA discount also. This new code is slightly cheaper than AAA. We saved $11.49 per night with the new code.
When I called I told the CM that I wanted to adjust my reservation with a new discuont. It was so easy and no problem at all. The CM brought up my AAA reservation and applied the new code for me. Call!

The rates are available on line but you need to click on the special summer savings ad.

Unfortunately, you can not stack discounts, so you will have to choose either the room only or AP.

No - I was just trying to figure out the pricing. We're planning an October/November trip, but if the deal is a lot better for September, I thought I'd try for that. I'll just wait to see if it shows up on the website. I think there are usually October deals too that come out in August, so I can wait for those....

I think it depends too on how many in your party, and their ages, which is a better deal for your family - free dining or the new code.

For us, 3A/2C we are saving more on Free Dining. The room discount has to be $145 or greater off the rack rate with the new pin to break even for us. We are at POR with FD from 9/13-20 for $2200 including tickets. I think the rack rate is $165 + 0 for food.

At the Poly, the new code rate was $285 plus we'd have to buy the DP @ $145 = $430/day vs. $165 per day at a Mod. We'll stay where we are...

I just called and they adjusted the rate for the room...I saved $86 for an 11 night stay. When I tried to question the CM about the Magic My Way package she said to just buy the tickets when we get there and when I gave her the code for dining she said the dining was 37.99 per person per night. Am I wrong or is that the regular price? I'm happy to save whatever money I can, but if I can make a better deal I'll call back. Is there a different rate for packages such as a room + ticket package?
