We are planning a visit next yr with Mom (Age 65), my brother's family and our family (kids ages 9-11)-- we were planning on April 10-18, but my brother was recently down there on business and was impressed with no lines and stated the heat was not as bad as he thought it would be and the humidity was not bad at all...

i was able to find acutal historical weather highs/lows/precip but have had no luck finding such for humidity; i am nervous because my red-headed son and mom may have trouble with the heat and humidity;

do you know of any website where i can find historical humidity levels? if you live in florida, can you provide info on the heat and humidity and how bad it is? my brother said his cab dirver said the humidity is not bad at end of august; however, my travel agent and a fellow worker stated the humidity was bad that time of yr (not sure if my brother had a good stretch in aug).

he is more cocerned with the length of time to get on rides at this pt and this is why he is pushing August.

Any advice would be appreciated!

thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,

I have a sister who lives near WDW that used to live in New Orleans. She says (and I agree) they are very similar in weather.

Both are hot and humid in August. If I had a choice, I would visit at a different time.

Dude

We were just there from 8/10-8/22 and the dew point was 74 deg virtually everyday. It was humid but I didn't think it was that bad. I'd go again during this time, but I'd prefer April if I could manage it.

I was there in August 2000 and it was horrible. I'm from Maryland, so I'm use to humidity, but I still thought it was crazy. If I had a choice I wouldn't go back in August, but if it was my only opportunity to visit I'd definitely go and just grin and bear it. With lots of enclosed air conditioned rides you shoulde be alright - just drink plenty of water and bring little fans with you.

August and humidity go hand in hand, it's the hottest month in FL.
