August AK hours

Ok I have a question about August hours for AK. We are going on 8/4 which is a Friday. Released park hours say 9-7pm. So a couple of questions, will they open earlier in the summer hours, stay open later if there are Pandora ROL evening events? Tomorrow is my 180 day till 8/4 and I want to schedule Tusker House for breakfast. I could do 8:00am if it isn't likely they will open earlier, or I could do 10:15 or 10:30 if they will open at 8:00.

Tusker is our only character meal for the trip and we enjoy Tusker for breakfast rather than lunch/dinner.

So what time would you make your reservation for? August experts what is most likely going to be the final park hours? Any help would be appreciated.

We plan to rope drop and we are staying offsite, but have a throwaway room which is giving me the rolling 180 for reservations.

1. Unlikely in August, but no guarantees.
2. That's an absolute given, IF they want nighttime events.
3. Book sometime after 10am.

Thanks for the tip Robo on question #1. But if it is unlikely they will open earlier than 9:00, wouldn't it be better to eat at 8:00 then zip out right after for the Safari ride right there in Africa? I'm afraid if I make a 10:00 reservation and they don't open until 9:00 then I am wasting peak morning park time eating.

But, if you're more of a gambler than a strategist,
book at 8AM and then, check back every single day starting about 45 days out,
to see if they move AM EMH (it's Disney) to your DAK morning, or if they happen to decide (it's Disney) to open at 8AM.
At the earliest moment that you find out, try to rebook Tusker House sometime after 10.

Or reserve both, and then just cancel the one you don't need. You have until the day before to do so.

I know you meant after 10. It doesn't matter, at 6:02 this morning there were no 8:00 am slots, and the best slot I could grab was 9:35 am. So we will see. I will keep checking back and keep an eye on the park hours as I get closer. Thanks for the advice.
