Hi,
We will be sailing this August. How cold will the indoor areas be, specifically the kids clubs and restaurants? Should we pack sweatshirts/sweaters?

Unless you live in the subtropics and 75 F is cold to you, no need for sweaters.

Some people report feeling chilled, but that is very subjective. If you are sunburned you are more sensitive to cold. In PC, there are fans to circulate air and if you're below one (or an A/C vent in any restaurant) you might also feel chilled.

I'm planning on packing a light sweater for my daughter, who will be in a lot of sleeveless outfits. I can see the A/C chilling her out. I think my boys will be ok but I might throw in some zipped up sweatjackets. I seem to remember the movie theater was cold and I saw people bringing in blankets.

I was on the 7 night Disney Cruise last August. My family and I have worn sweaters when walking outside on the deck esp at nightime,(it can get chilly when you are out on the middle of the ocean!) at the theatres, and meal times.

I don't think the ship is overally cold, but because of the hot sun during the day, you can feel the chill at night. i remember feeling very chilly when i was watching the Pirates of the Carribean movie at the ship's movie theatres that i went upstairs to the pool deck and got hot chocolate!! :)

Maybe they just want to sub conciously get you to buy more Disney Cruise Line Sweat Shirts and Long Sleeve shirts!!
I know someone who used to work in a certain chain clothing store. When the got in their winter clothes at the end of the summer they would crank up the air conditioning so that people would feel chilly in the store... and hence think about sweat shirts and sweaters....
And yes you guessed it they turned up the heat in the Late winter early spring in order to sell all those Summery clothes!!

I doubt this is what DCL is doing ... but hehe you never know !!!!:teeth: :hyper:
The moral of the story is bring a coat and bring warm weather clothes so you don't HAVE to buy anything unless you want to.

I am relieved to hear that they keep the ship nice and cool in August. I know it's going to be hot at all of the ports, and my DH cannot tolerate heat very well due to his diabetes, so a nice cold cabin and ship will be appreciated by us. :)
