August ADR's

Got Akershus today for dinner. Times are definately getting harder to get - still slots available but needed to me more flexible. Just a Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace to go.

What time did you try?
I went on at 11:15am to get San Angel at 7pm, I knew I would have no problem with that but it also gave me options of Le Cellier & the Wave both at 7pm.

Hey - how is it going? I have been thinking about you!

thanks cathy, ups and downs, but still patched so day 5 (excusing the cigarettes i had on a very BAD day 3.

have worked out that at £20 per week, ill be 520 £ richer by the time we fly - thats one seat on AA to miami :rotfl2:

Nothing to complain about - I wanted 6 and got 5.20pm. But I can't try till after work - so I was about half four when I tried, maybe later.

They are really going well though, I am not complaining just observing!

That looks like my calculations. I keep using it as motivation: £20 per week! I had a REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD day on Sunday but better this week. A bit iffy today though. Nice to know I'm not alone. :grouphug:

My husband has been stopped since 2001, but I will admit that may have had about half a dozen stress lapses!! He gets back on with it though, and since his Mum died from cancer he would never even consider another one.

You are doing a great thing.

Well feel quite sad, booked my last two ADR's today :lmao:

Got 1900 Park Fayre for breakfast and Chef Mickey for dinner.

Got our Grand Gathering as well.

Not been very well last few days so hopefully get together with my sister at the weekend to put final touches to everything - update our slight difference in times of meals etc.

Have ordered a map suggested on another forum, arrived today, DH says should help him alot with driving for the first time.

All slowly coming together.

Just to warn you all, now all the ADR's are out of the way, there will be questions upon questions about other subjects now - sorry :rotfl2:

If there are eight or more of you, there is three events classed as grand gatherings. You can use your free DDP on them.

To cut a long story short, disney uk rang back, can do the breakfast one, but not until 19th february, she has put our details on her calendar and will book on that date and confirm to me - fingers crossed :goodvibes

Hi

Just wondering has anybody done the Safari Celebration and what did they think. Is it worth doing. Also if using your DDP does it cost 1 credit or 2.
Is there anywhere you can get info on it and maybe a review...

Hello,

It is 2TS, I googled it and various reviews came up .... the reviews did look ok.

The only reason we decided against it was because, the meal is at Tusker House (where we are eating to get nemo package), the safari you can go on anyway (though the CM did say you would go down a few different trails to the normal safari). Also they say they bring in a few animals at the meal, but these are insects or the like .......... I know they cannot bring in an elephant :lmao: but something slightly bigger would have been nice :lmao:

I really wanted to do the third one - illuminations dinner and dessert but the reviews were not that good and 2TS :sad2:

Thanks for the quick reply and the links.:worship::worship:Was thinking of doing the Safari or maybe the breakfast.I thought the Safari might get you a bit more up close and personal with the animals but doesn't seem much different to the normal ride. Also the fact that there is no Dumbo at the restaurant puts me off a bit:lmao::rotfl:
Was just looking for something a bit different for the 8 of us to do this year.Last year we did a Magic Kingdom tour and kids really loved it so thought something similar would go down well.

I know, even a baby giraffe would do :lmao: I think if it had been 1 TS would have done it, but not sure if worth it for 2, since doing meal at Tusker House anyway.

We have booked the breakfast, sounds like get more time with the characters, a pin, and reserved seating in philarmagique?:goodvibes

Seriously? Bugs "at the table"? As long as they're not part of the meal ..... :rotfl2: I'd also prefer something a bit bigger for 2TS.

well done cathy, looks like everyone has got what they wanted:goodvibes

sooo.... what are we going to chat about now? the weather??:rotfl2:
