This was our first trip to WDW. It was my wife, daughter(7th b-day on the 15th), son (4) and me. We arrived on the 8th at about 7:15 P.M. and checked into our room at the beach club (concierge garden view). Dropped off our bags got our tickets and caught a bus to the MK. Once there we hopped on the train to splash mountain, picked up our e-ticket bands and went to find seats for the SM parade by Liberty Square? We had great seat in the front and it was a fantastic parade. After the parade we went to dumbo and as we got off the fireworks started shooting. It was great timing. We did the e-ride night after and had no problem getting on any rides and in many cases went on more than once. Back to the hotel around 1:30 a.m. then off to sleep.

Woke up around 9:00 and went to the concierge room for breakfast then off to the AK. We went straight to Africa for fast pass safari then off to dinoland for TriceraTop Spin, DINOSAUR, It's Tough to be a Bug! and through it all the rain was coming down. Next up was our return for the safari and that was about all we could take of the rain. We waited for the bus and back to the hotel around 3:30. Quick nap for the kids then on to Epcot for Illuminations. We went to the outdoor Mexican place for drinks around 7:30 right on the rail and stayed in those seats until the show. During the wait my wife took the kids on the boat ride in the pavilion and over to Norway for malstrom. I thought illuminations was incredible! One of my favorite things the whole trip. We took a boat ride back to the hotel and had a bite to eat at Beaches and Cream. The waitress was great and at the end of our meal she got the whole place to sing happy b-day to my daughter. It was anther late night and we wanted to get up early for EMH at the MK. Set the wake up time for 6:30 and zzzzzzzz.

We were on our way to the bus when my son's hand got stuck in the automatic door in the beach club lobby. It looked a little bruised and a manager came over to talk to us and see if we needed any medical attention and to make sure it was ok. After my son stopped crying and we saw that he had movement in his fingers we took the bus to the MK. We arrived around the open and went to fantasyland. The lines were not long at all with the longest wait less than 8 min. We did Winnie the Pooh , Peter Pan's Flight , Snow White, Golden Carrousel, It's a Small World, Mad Tea Party then over to Pirates of the Caribbean and Magic Carpets of Aladdin . We had a PS at Chef Mickey's at 11:00 so we hopped on the monorail around 10:30. Breakfast was great and we decided to take the monorail to epcot and walk to the BC from there. We got to sit in the front of the monorail and when we arrived at epcot I noticed that they were running mission space. We fast passed that with a return time in a half hour, so we went on Ellen's energy adventure. Wow that is a long ride. We then went over to space, which my son couldn't ride so I took my daughter and we were going to do the parent swap. My daughter and I walked up and quickly went into the pre-flight room. It was quick and funny and we were ready to go on when a cm walked into the room and said there were a few problems and we would have to watch the video again. After it ended a second time the cm came into the room and asked us to switch rooms where we got to watch the video again and finally one more time for good measure. We then went on the ride, all I can say is it was great. My daughter and I both loved it but when we came out my wife did not feel like waiting to go on. We were all a little tired at this point and walked back to the beach club. TIP(You should walk as little as possible if given a choice as you do so much walking anyway). When we got back to the hotel we had a few incidents happen and we mentioned this to a manager as well as our view from our garden view was the entrance and a roof top. They were very nice and they said the Beach club was full but they could move us to The Yacht club concierge water view. This was very nice and the view was spectacular. Also there was a stuffed Minnie and Mickey in the new room for my son's hand, which was now fine. We packed up and moved to the new room and had a ps at the brown derby for fantasmic. Dinner was excellent and during the meal my daughter had a special phone call from goofy I think to wish her a happy b-day. It was great, they brought this phone over and made her feel so special. After dinner we walked over to Fantasmic, which was very crowded, but because of the preferred seating our seats were good. It was a great show and another late night. I had planned to go back to MGM in the morning but at this point I could hardly walk and we all needed some rest. So tomorrow will be a rest day.
