August 5th 2013 ~ 7-Night Alaskan Cruise on Disney Wonder

Today seems a very appropriate day to start this thread as it's exactly ONE YEAR today that we set sail!

We are Elaine, DH Bryan, and DDs Samantha, Danielle and Francesca who will be 21, 18 and 16.

This is our second cruise on the Wonder and we're really looking forward to sailing on her again.

We will be on this cruise as well. DH, me, DD 6, DS 2, my mother, my Dbrother, his DW, their DD 14, DS 12, DD 8. My family has cruised Disney many times. It's a first for my mom and brother's family. Very much looking forward to introducing them to the world of Disney cruising! Can't wait to start looking at excursions, etc.

Yay! We have a Cruise Meet Thread!

Our family just went on our first DC in June on the Disney Dream (5-night Bahamian Cruise) and had a blast! We heard great things about the Alaska cruise so we'll be cruising again... this time with my parents who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

It will be me, my DH, DS 10, DS 7, DD 4, my mom (DGma), and my dad (DGpa).

My kids loved the FE exchange on our last cruise.... hoping we'll get enough interest on this one to do it again!

I've been busy looking at excursions and we pretty much have a good idea of what we'd like to do.

My DH and I are probably going on this cruise also. We have been on the Magic twice, will be on the Dream in July and hopefully the Wonder for this trip. I have gone on an Alaska cruise before and LOVED it. It will be my DH first trip to Alaska. Cannot wait to nail down the date and get booked.

Yipppe! Sailed last March on the Wonder! Can't wait to sail again! We are a family of four myself, DH, and a set of twins who will be nine when we sail!! Hope to participate in the fish extender group if we have one!

We will be cruising with you all to Alaska next summer! We are looking forward to getting to know you. It will be me (Lisa), my DH (Chuck) and our DS (Mason) who will be 13. We booked the cruise while on the Fantasy this summer, but really committed today when we booked our airfare! We were debating whether to fly to Seattle and take the train or fly to Vancouver. We opted for Vancouver. Please let us know if you recommend any hotels in Vancouver for 2 nights before the cruise and 1 night after the cruise.

Hi Lisa we've booked the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre for a few nights pre-cruise. We were thinking of staying at the Blue Horizon Hotel where a DIS friend stayed this summer before her cruise but we ended up booking the Sheraton as they offered a better rate.

We are now booked for this cruise. Next find airfare and hotel for precruise. So excited for my DH to experience this cruise. I went 12 years ago and it was by far the best cruise I ever went on for scenery. When I went before, it was VERY cold when sailing so we will bring warmer clothes for night with hat and gloves.
