August 28, 2004 "LOST AT SEA" Cruise

OK I know I have gone completely "overboard" on DCL now - I have always been a disney addict but now that my husband has added a second monitor to our computer, I can keep the boards up on one monitor and read them while I do work for my brother-in-law (stay at home mom working from home!) on the other so I don't have to miss a thing switching back and forth!!

The ThreeCircles site is excellent! GREAT JOB on that. By the time the cruise gets here we will all defintely know one another! I am trying to scrape up a decent picture to send in... I will get something!

Jason...looks like you will be adding the Bridge tour to the DIS Meets page now too, huh????

Wow! I think I need to figure out how to set up an additional monitor on my PC too. That way, I can split my attention between my ongoing job search and my, ahem, how do you say, Dis Board compulsion. Hmmm, which is more important, job search or talking about Disney cruises?

Still haven't received the Shore Excursion books from DCL for the cruise. I think I'm going to go hunt down my old ones from previous Western cruises and see if anything sparks my interest.

I think I'm all decided for Cozumel. We've passed up the Tulum Ruins twice now but I think we're going to hit them this time around. Plus, since we're in port until 11 P.M., we'll still have plenty of time to do some other things if we're so inclined. We've yet to visit Carlos ‘N Charlies or Senior Frogs so we may have to venture into that new territory as well.

I had called last week because I wanted the cruise to show up on my may month end statement since thebonus points take 8-10 weeks to show up as available on your acccount. The regular single points are immediately as soon as statement closes. I got a call from the TA's supervisor today and they did call my payment in this morning so at least I know it will be on my June statement for sure... I just hope the bonus points show up before I leave .. I was hoping to use them to cover my dinners at Ohana and Hollywood & Vine while we are at disney before the cruise.

As the days grow shorter..I CANT WAIT..Told my Wife yesterday lets do a 4 night pre cruise before we go to practice...

Now..For a dilemma...My son and I like to fish on the beach with my Jeep..

He wants to bring his fishing pole on the cruise and fish from the Verandah from our room..

You think Disney Would get mad?..hahahahaha And how much line should I spool on the reel..Hehe..

Why don't you do the 4 or 5 night to Canada. You can do Carnival or RC Voyager of the seas.

Got a bad sore throat today, DD hasn't missed a day at school this year, so I told her to keep her distance. She has 3 more weeks.

We are also going to design some Door magnets..picked up some magnetic printer paper from staples..

I am trying to price out green leis to buy for everyone, but Oriental trading only sells assorted colors. I am going to keep my eye out for green ones to buy in bulk for everyone, but they must be reasonably priced, I will be checking out the party store this weekend.

I wanted to stop in Home Depot this weekend for the Mickey Heads, will have to get there.

I saw that and called DCL and they wanted alot of money (more than at time of booking) The cast member told me to ask at the port.

I have an idea for nametags for the Dis Meet too. This is something that I put together for the Disney Magic May 1st Cruise and I can make them for the August sailing as well if everyone would like.

Here's a screen capture of the name tags as they look in Publisher:

You'll have to imagine what they will actually look like when they're on the sticker nametags. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do them in color or not. All I have is a regular laser printer but I may be able to print them off at Travis's mom's place. At any rate, I did them in B&W in May and they looked pretty good.
