August 27th 2009 cruise on the wonder

Can someone please help me with info about Palo? I was wondering if it's possible to do lunch or high tea on the first day, before we actually sail? I've been reading about people getting to the port at 10am and getting on the ship before noon that day, so I was wondering if an early time at Palo was in any way possible. Because there are only 3 nights, we don't want to miss ANY of the scheduled dinners. And we don't want to miss any time in Nassau or Castaway Cay either.

TIA! :goodvibes

no, not on a 3 night cruise no brunch or high tea at Palo. Only 4 nights and 7 nights and longer cruises has them.

Hi I'm Jill it will me and Dh 4 dd ages 15,14,8,5 and 1 ds age 4 can't wait to meet you all. We live in Orefield Pa. I work as a TA for AAA so I love to travel to Disney and the cruise line I am my areas specialist so i go several times a year to both so I can gain information for my clients. We are both 42years old we are celebrating our anniversary and I know my daughter who is 8 would love to have a friend in the kids club since she will be in their without her siblings. This is also a wish trip for her, she does not have a terminal illness she and my 5 year were born hearing impaired they both were hearing aids and do great! None of our kids know about the cruise they think after 7 day stay at The new blt we are driving home to Pa hahahah they think we are going up to :SEE" the ship since I work for AAA they know I like to look at things they are going to flip hahahha. Can't wait to meet up with you all. What dinner time did you all get and did anyone get a room upgrade? Thanks Jill oh to the other Allentowner where about are you?

Gosh, I haven't logged on in a while and this thread has taken off. I am so excited to see all the Allentowners, I went to Lehigh many many years ago! We will be in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm, it would be great for my girls (11 and 6) to make some friends on board.

We are travelling from England, and will be staying at the Beach Club the week before the cruise, and the Boardwalk the week after.

I am curious about excursions, what have you all booked for Nassau? After reading and rereading everything I could get my hands on, we have decided to not book anything and just take a walk around Nassau and then return to the ship for the afternoon. I was wondering about a horse and carriage ride, has anyone tried those before?

My dad and I didn't book any excursions, prob will just walk around and I want to buy a shirt in Nassau, get some pictures, but prob just that then enjoy the hopefully empty ship. We get in go again in december so if I want to do anything else I will do it that trip. My dad might also go to a beach in August, but I won't

We have late seating. Felt very rushed last trip trying to get to dinner at 5:45pm and we figure if our nephew is too hungry to make it until 9pm for dinner, we can let him eat early with the kid's club or order a bite from room service. We tend to get into a late pattern with our Disneyworld stay so it will probably be fine for us. Last cruise, we took a taxi to the beach where Atlantic is, threw down a blanket we brought and enjoyed the same beach as all the Atlantis guests for FREE! (other than the taxi cost). It was a great day and with this plan, we can adjust our plan to the weather- if it is crummy out we'll just walk around town a bit and enjoy ship activities. I wouldn't book the horse & carriage ride ahead of time- plenty of availability for it when you exit the ship- there will be plenty of those to hire if you are interested. We booked at Cat 7 and then got an e-mail from our TA about 3 weeks ago to go to a Cat 4 for $149 total for all three of us so we took advantage of that offer. Only 4 more weeks now!

HI I have been in Naseau before so my plan is to take all 7 of us on either the water taxi or regular taxi over to Atlantis look at resort pool ect and then do some beach time. you have to watch you will eventually get kicked out of the Atlantis beach hahah but there aer other free beaches over there so we will just move when that happens then when finished we are going back to the ship putting the 8,5 and 4 year in the clubs and taking 15,14 year back off the ship for shopping Tortuga Rum comp here I come!! I will be looking for you all at 3pm on that first day!! Jill

It will be easy to find me I usually post a picture of myself a week or two before the cruise so I am easy to find:goodvibes

We also are doing the late seating for dinner. We didn't want to be rushed and just wanted to enjoy the day. We have not chosen an excursion at Nassau and just also plan to walk around and let the day come as it may. Can't wait for the girls to meet and have a great time together. LESS THAN 30 DAYS:yay::yay:

so, who all is going to Disney before or after the cruise? I'm going on August 26th and hopefully should be at Disney by 1:00pm if things go good:cool1:

I will be at blt from Aug 20-27 them the 3 night cruise then back to the yacht club for 4 nights leaving on Sept 4 JIll

We are going on August 25th, and we should be at the airport by 5:17 that night, so we hope to be at Pop Century in time for dinner. We'll stay at POP for 2 nights before, and then after the cruise we'll be at POR for 3 nights (we're getting in on a little of the Free Dining action )

We are staying at the port of orleans french quarter, this will be our first cruise and have no idea what to expect. chaley

You can expect 3 days of heaven! The service and food out do all others, and the adult only pool and hot tubs are much appreciated! Worth the extra money!:cool1: We are also doing the "land and sea". Castaway Cay is also a paradise for all-adult only beach, kid beach, teen beach and family beach. The adult beach and the family beach serves different food. We like to take our drinks and go to the adult only beach. You are allowed to take your own alcohol, just don't make it obvious. We usually have our own personal bar in our room! We are taking our 17 year old daughter, Courtney, and her friend Brooke on their class trip. We got the $99.00 3 day cruise voucher for going back in February. Couldn't pass it up. We are from Michigan, and we are not having a warm summer.:confused3

I was just wondering if any of the cruisers from the February 8, 09 cruise? We took advantage of the $99.00 cruise voucher! Great deal!
