Hi everyone,
My kids asked to see Monsters University this weekend, and I thought about it possibly playing on the ship. And it is. They agreed to see another movie and save me $100 bucks (LOL - there are 5 of us, and snacks!!)

This made me laugh! We had the same conversation!
Monsters Inc is a special movie for us, it was my DS (14) first movie in a theatre. So cute. He had everything monsters.......toys, pjs, ....even decorated his room in the bedding! Way back when.
We made a promise to see the new one as a family....
Pretty good considering my oldest is 17! And he agreed!
Hoping we can wait and watch it onboard....but we might not be able to wait!

Hi there! I signed up on the FE list awhile ago and I went to it tonight to see how many people there are now for gifts and it appears my families information has been deleted. I am wondering if this was a mistake and I should sign up again? Thanks!

lages - did you sign up for fe's on the facebook page? If so, please sign up again. You may have to ask to join the group - but i'm pretty sure no one gets turned down - the more the merrier!!!! I'm not Facebook savvy so I don't know all the rules and the how to's.

is there a FE list here as well? i can't remember if anyone was keeping it. And i didn't go back thru all the pages

I can't believe Monsters inc is that old! I would have thought it came out a couple of years ago. Thanks for the nice story! Time goes so fast.... it is sad.

This was probably just a mishap with the spreadsheet you should sign up again. It's the same spreadsheet whether you access it from here or from the FB page.

Hi All,
I've never participated in Fish extenders because I was always worried about overweighing my suitcases. How many people actually participate? Can anyone give me an idea of what a gift is?

This may be a mute point, I am not certain if the FE list is closed.

Donna - we have done FE twice previously and I have had similar concerns about weighing down our suitcases but I personally find FE gifts to be a lot of fun! I have received so many creative and handy gifts on our previous cruises...everything from a sanitary kit (tissues and hand sanitizer spray), magnets, a CD of cruise music, to yummy maple syrup someone left from vermont. I think my son's favorite FE gift was light up wands. If you lookon pinterest you will see a lot of ideas.

You can call and request a server, you can also request a rotation (which I have done). They don't make any guarantees and I have never requested a particular server but have always got the rotation that I wanted.

Well, I sure am!
We just booked a night at a gorgeous Whistler resort! One night.
Didn't know there were so many things to do over the summer up there.
I figure we are paying for a rental car, so may as well really use it!!!

And this cruise meet is quite small so it's probably a good one to try it out on.

About the FE - Do people make the same thing for everyone? Or age specific gifts for each person in the cabin?

I believe it's the same gift for everyone.
Sometimes people will make different things or colours for boys/girls or some will ask what characters they like and make a specific gift with that character. Thats alot of work though.It depends on the group and how much you put into it. Sometimes it's one gift per cabin....some cruise meets people receive one gift per child. It's totally up to you!
Sometimes , people leave a little something from their hometown, ( or country for that matter)
So from Canada I could give packs of smarties ( candy only in Canada) or maple syrup, or something like a pen or stationary with a Maple leaf on it....

Hello all!! DD and I have finished our Adventures by Disney Germany trip and are leaving Munich for Dublin to start our Ireland trip!! My thoughts are turning to this cruise.

Saw the posts about FE gifts. The FE exchange is supposed to be fun. There will always be negative people who won't be happy so ignore them and make yourself happy. Personally, I love to see the gifts that people come up with whether from Oriental trading or handmade. As a PP said definitely check out Pinterest for ideas. I love to scour the $1 sections at Target and Michaels as I have found cute Disney items there before for FE gifts.

I'll echo what JacksGirlz wrote: The FE exchange is suppose to be fun! My Dh and I appreciate everything we receive. And we really enjoy the 'delivery' part as well.

On past cruises, we have done a variety of things - we have given to everyone in the cabin, to adults and children, etc etc. This time we are doing a 'cabin' gift. One gift for the cabin with probably a small thing or two thrown in for the kids.

Everyone participating decides what works best for their group.
