Hi!
OUr stateroom number is 2519 and Alexa's favorite character is Belle (with Minnie being a close second). It's becoming more of a reality with each passing day! Amazing how slow time can go up until a certain point and now it seems to be flying!

Christine,
Sorry for the delayed response... been too busy with company and haven't been keeping up with the posts!! Our room is a GTY and we are waiting to receive our room assignment. For the characters, Kaleb likes Stitch and Goofy & Makiah likes Tinkerbell and Rapunzel. Also, I really don't think this will make a big difference in the long run, but at the time of cruising our kids will have had a birthday so Kaleb is 11 and Makiah is 9.

Thanks for everything!!

Wow, looking over the list, I can 't believe how many 8-9 year old girls we have. They will have a blast together! princess:

So just wondering what everyone is planning for there excursions? We are thinking of doing Bernard's Tours in St Maarten and using a Disney vendor to go to St John when we stop at St Thomas

Nice heat wave hitting the northeast. It was a perfect day for the pool!

My 12 yr old DD is playing majors All Star fast pitch softball this week. They won their first game last night and have 3 more in the first round.

It's actually cooler in Florida and the Carribean than it is in the north right now.:cool1: and it isn't even summer until tomorrow.

I hope the airconditioner is working at work tomorrow. If not I am going to MELT!!!!!!

Some crazy person stole the compressor from my job that cools my office:eek: Today was not a good day. I had to go to other parts of the building to cool off:)

Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow:thumbsup2

Here too in Ottawa Canada. It's a bit cooler today (or so they say) but feels no different than it did yesterday :) Thank goodness for central air, and thank goodness my kids school is keeping them indoors for the lunch and pm recesses when it's this hot. :thumbsup2

Will there be somewhere to meet the folks from the board on the ship? . I am not really familiar with what an FE is, and see that we missed it anyway. My girls are going crazy in anticipation of the cruise.:cool1:

Hi i12go2wdw

I posted before, on the last day to sign up for the exchange I believe, that we were no longer able to participate in the exchange due to space issues. I noticed that I'm still on the list and am worried that people may purchase/make too many items. If you could please remove me from the list and accept my apologies for any inconvenience to anyone this may cause I would really appreciate it.

On a side note, we are SOOOO excited!!

Hi Coconutsunshine,
Sorry about that, I think I have you off all the lists now, I have posted so many lists I can't keep track.

Won't be long now!!

A little history on the Fish Extender. The Magic and the Wonder have a metal fish mounted next to each stateroom door. This fish is spring loaded so you can squeeze the back and open the mouth which will hold a note or letter. This was often referred to as Fish Mail.

As far back as I can remember, first DCL cruise was 2002, there have been fish extenders. Similar to hanging a stocking out Christmas Eve the fish extender is hung over the fish and it has individual pockets that represent the different passengers in the stateroom.

The fish extender is a fun way for DISers to exchange gifts, trinkets, hand-made crafts, etc. Sarah has enjoyed waking up first thing in the morning and opening up the stateroom door to find the FE stuff with goodies. Many DISer spread this over length of the cruise so this joy is not just the first day or two.

Another fun thing is that the stateroom doors are metal so many DISers decorate their doors with magnets of all kinds.

Photos: The FE is ours, the decorated doors are not. I found them online since I couldn't readily find any of our own, but wanted to show you photos of the metal fish and decorated doors.

On the newer ships, at least I can say for the Dream, expecting the same on the Fantasy, one side has a fish and the other side now has a sea horse.

Missy has been asking me for the FE list so I converted the list to a spreadsheet which she prefers.

I will update it as information becomes available like stateroom numbers. For the moment, there is a questions column which I will eventually delete when all the information is filled in.

For those who want a copy, please feel free to download it from here:

Today is Nine weeks and counting:cool1::cool1::cool1:

My youngest DD is already writing up a list of what she is wearing each night for dinner:confused3

We are going to try to keep our suitcases to 4 this time with one of them for my suits and the ladies dresses.

Ha ha! My DD keeps trying to convince me to buy her more dresses as this and this and this and this would be good for the cruise. She already has many, and most never get worn. She thinks she is girlie, but shorts and tank tops are the rule right now. :):goodvibes:goodvibes

Lovedi this nicer day. Just saw a Union game. Fun!

And, all the talk of FE, you would think it would get me to start to make our FE.
