Our next Disney mouse is Roquefort, a supporting character in Disney's 1970 animated film The Aristocats.

According to the Disney Wiki:
Roquefort is a small mouse who resides in a mousehole located in Madame Bonfamille's mansion. He is good friends with Duchess and her three kittens, and also seems to have a friendly relationship with Frou-Frou (the horse). His devotion to the Aristocats is shown when he goes out searching for them when the family goes missing...

Congrats to clappyclaps and sophy1996 on reaching purple!!:figment::figment:

The team is at 2,954 minutes and 33% :cheer2:

waiting patiently for us to get to the Great Mouse Detective! :)
No Problem!

Today's "non-Mickey mouse" is Basil of Baker Street:

From the Disney Wiki...
Basil is a take-off of the classic Sherlock Holmes character, modeling his career after the famous detective's. Basil is portrayed as a brilliant, plucky mouse... showing skill in areas such as science, history, and disguise. Despite this, Basil can also be prickly and self-centered.
Basil is a tall (small from a human's perspective), slender, anthropomorphic mouse with a thin rectangular frame and contrasting soft facial features. In stark contrast to the physical appearances of other rodent characters from previous and succeeding Disney films (such as Timothy Q. Mouse, Jaq and Gus, Amos, Remy, etc.), which more accurately or cartoony resemble real-life mice, Basil and the other rodent characters in the film are designed in a very unique and stylized way, with much more human-like body proportions while still having a rodent head.

Basil was voiced by Barrie Ingham (IMDb link) who also voiced another character in the movie named Bartholomew. He had previously appeared in the 1967 film "A Challenge for Robin Hood" and in the Dr. Who franchise.

If you haven't seen The Great Mouse Detective, here's a link where you can read the plot:

(We'll be showcasing a few more characters in the coming days.)

Yay for Basil! Totally recommend the Great Mouse Detective. Professor Ratigan, who very much wants to be seen as a mouse but doesn't qualify, is a wonderful villain. Much like my trainer today... sigh. +60

A lot of minutes to report from a lovely beach day - 60 minutes in the ocean! Perfect temperature - and no jellyfish yet! Along with 30 minutes weeding - I can add 90 to my total!

A fun fact to add for Basil - he's named after the actor Basil Rathbone, who played Sherlock Holmes in movies in the 1930's!
