August 2015!!!

Made my final payment today...Woohoo!!! 15 days or so to online check in and FP+.

91 more days until we go! :) I'm torn between wanting it to be here and not wanting to rush it.
I'm right there with you!! We've got 83 and I want it to be here soooooo bad but don't want to rush the whole summer. But yay only 83 days!!!! :-)

Agree with everyone! 94 days! Want it to be here so badly! But definitely want to enjoy the pre planning fun etc :) also looked at our itinerary yesterday, and some FP+ ideas. June 20th will be here before I know it!! :smickey:

So let's talk FP+ strategies. I've read the FP+ strategy thread, plus all the FP+ strategies I can find on other websites and I'm really struggling with how to approach my planning. We've always been rope drop people, and were able to definitely maximize use of legacy FP so that we could ride the headliners numerous times each day. That doesn't appear to be feasible with FP+, other than those rides with single rider lines. I think with RD plus FP+ we'll be able to maybe get two rides on the headliners each day, other than using single rider line where available.

My husband and 16 year old DD have informed me that they want this to be a relaxing vacation (LOL!!!!) and for them, that means not doing RD. So my older DD and I will be doing RD. Because of this, I'm thinking that the recommendations from Josh at easywdw may be our best option -- RD, and have our FP+ scheduled for mid-morning. That way Alyssa and I can get as many rides in as possible during those first couple of hours, and DH and Brie can join us for our mid-morning FP+.

Thoughts? What touring strategy has worked best for you with FP+?

My stratagy is going to change by the day. We have some full park days, on these days I plan on making FP+ starting around 10:30-11:30. Using this last september we were able to get lots of extra fastpasses in MK with this strategy.

On days we are just doing a park in the evening, I will have FP+ starting when we plan to arrive in the park. We are doing this on EMH evening days and spending a few hours in the morning at the waterparks.

We wake up in time for rope drop easily since we are used to waking up by 7am at the latest at home and we are in Nova Scotia and this is 6am in Florida. Add to that the excitement of being in Disney, and there is no sleeping in!

My biggest struggle is what to FP at MK each day. We have 4 days in total with one being an evening only. My son(9) is super excited to try to stay at MK until 2 am.

Does anyone else have 1 person who does not like thrill rides? Me and DS will ride anything, but my mom does not do thrill rides, so it makes it hard making FP as well, either some of hers go to waste, me or DS ride a second time alone, or she has a FP for different attractions. Which strategy do you use?

My Mom, my younger DD, and I don't enjoy thrill rides. We all have bad motion sickness and take Dramamine so we can ride the rides. But beyond that, we just don't enjoy them that much. I think what I've decided to do is go ahead and book us all for the same FP+ and then those who don't want to ride can hand their bands over to those who do want to ride, so that means my DH, older DD, and my Dad will all get an extra ride on those rides while Mom, Brie, and I wait for them. (Exception -- Brie and I do enjoy TT and BTMRR, so my Mom will be on her own while the rest of us do those -- we've done that before and she just found a shady spot to wait for us, or went shopping.) I think it was WDW Prep To Go that had a podcast in the last few months on things that non-riders can do while other ride. I need to go back and listen to that again.

We have 100 days to go!

As far as FP+ we are doing a mix. We are staying for 10 nights with 8 park days and one WP day. 4 days going to MK, 2 going to EP and 2 going to DHS. I think we can tackle AK without FP+.

We are doing 4 RD days. One for each park. The other 4 days are arrival day at MK plus 2 evenings where we are starting late and going to the PM EMH park. Our last day is MK but we plan on arriving around 4 and shutting the park down. It's not a PM EMH night.

On our RD days we are doing a midday break at the pool and having our FP+ at the evening park.

On our evening days we will sleep in, hang at the pool and hit the park around 4-5 and have FP+ starting around 5-6.

3 months from today.
13 weeks from tomorrow.

Paid for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah (which was Saturday).

I just want to be there already!

We leave in 91 days! Exactly 13 weeks:-) We have RO at Beach Club (going to spend a few days lounging around stormalong bay pool) until August 20th (FD at POFQ). Our FP+ day will open up June 21st.
Is anyone else anxiously watching for the opening of BOG breakfast reservations? I would really like to get one morning, just to try it. Plus, it's a great use of a QS credit. I wonder if they will be opening up soon? I am looking every morning, afraid that I'm going to miss it!
