Going August 7 - 14 -- if the weather plays nice

I finally took the plunge and bought the flight last Wednesday - that was the last step, since everything else is/was refundable.
Waited for rates to come down out of the realm of ridiculousness, which they sort of did, used a Coke Code and the earnings from doing surveys to bring it down a bit more. (Southwest takes PayPal, the survey pays through Paypal, so it seemed like a good combination)

We're staying at ASMu this time around.
I'd originally booked off-site due to a few 'curve balls' that lowered our budget. But, with the summer discount, not having to pay for parking, and a rather fat VisaReward balance (because of the 'curve balls'), it made more sense to stay in-World.
We ended up taking ASMu, since that was the Value resort offered. DH agreed that it wasn't really worth the extra to stay at CBR (but we've already been there twice), and we've never stayed at any of the All Stars.

So.... it's an official countdown to a new adventure, which has been in the planning since late last fall (and/or ever since we returned from the last trip)

Another CBR fan here! I just love it there, and if we could fit all five of us in a room, I'd book it again for sure! The grounds are so pretty - you'll have a fantastic time!

Our annual August, Beach Club vacation! Got a great Bounceback offer that I just couldn't refuse so I had to book it. I'm sure I will do the same thing this trip and book it before we leave again!!

The Beach Club is perfect in August. Just a short stroll over to Epcot and a quick walk back for some afternoon pool time! Nothing better than a relaxing nightly walk over to the ESPN Club for a beverage and a game!

Thanks! I've heard so many great things about it. My only worry is that I won't want to stay anywhere else after staying there. This is a splurge trip so we won't be able to stay there all the time.

At our weekly family meeting night our DD9 announced Disney was 69 days away!!!

I was between excited and panicked, can not believe it is that close we have been so busy I have lost my Disney planning momentum.

School finishes this week on Friday which is also the day for our Relay for Life which i am very involved in, Saturday will be recovery day ( usually am pretty wiped after walking 6pm to 6am, then Sunday will be my first day back on track to getting in trip mode...and we will only have 62 days

We loved Kidani....the only thing we didn't like was the distance from everything. I would most definitly rent a car. We didn't, we had 9 of us, and the bus rides were so long. But if you are ok with that, then use Disney transportation. That was the first time we had used the Disney transportation and we were fine with it. It was just long coming and going.

Thanks - good to know! We're actually driving, so we'll have our car with us - that's really the only negative I had heard about Kidani, so I wanted to make sure we'd have our own transportation. We're really splurging and got a 2-br villa (rented DVC points) - were you happy with the room?

We are also staying at the Beach Club....August 9-15!! It's a splurge trip for us too....and normally wouldn't stay deluxe....but with a 2 year old, we know we'll be spending more time at the resort. Plus...being close to DHS and Epcot will be a plus!!!
