Do you think Disney marketing will offer more free dining for August 2012 (looking to book in 2012) The current free dining for August 2012 has to be booked by December 15. Do you feel the new Fantasy Land and AOA will be a big draw and there will be very limited marketing?

If we book now with a travel agent will we have to pay a deposit?
How flexibly are the resorts if we need to change reservations by a couple of days?

This will be our first stay on property August 21- 28 2012.:woohoo: I appreciate your help, thank you.

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Also, to answer your question, we booked a stay at coronado springs last spring, but when free dining came out over the summer, we changed our dates by two days (came in on a monday instead of a saturday) to get the free dining, it was no problem--they were SUPER helpful:goodvibes

have a great trip!!!!!:thumbsup2

Really? I would love to know about free dining for end of August 2012. I see it is already available for English and Canadian vacationers, but don't see anything yet with US? Where did you find this deal? We would be going around your same time. Thanks!

I haven't seen any free dining offered to US residents for August 2012 :confused3 ......anyone else?

I am Canadian. I wonder if the historical promotions will return or if they will have a new promotion celebrating the opening of Fantasyland.

The next big question Pop or Port Orleans French Quarter? So excited!

According to everything I have read, the offer is only for Canadians and visitors from the UK. I have a trip booked beginning Aug. 25 at CS and am sitting on pins and needles that the free dining is offered. The CM we spoke with when booking said that when and if the offer is opened to visitors from the US that we could call back and have the dining (that we are currently paying for) removed from the reservation. We are keeping our fingers crossed! It's been offered for many years, so lets hope that they will do it again next year.

We are also traveling August 2012 and weighing off vs on property and free dining would make that choice easy. How far ahead do they usually announce these deals?

We were in WDW the last week of this august and there was a bounce back offer for free dining in 2012 for the last week of Aug through the end of september. We booked it and we are from the US.

FYI you might want to try the discount rates and codes board here on the Dis, although people are using this board a lot for these types of questions, this board is not for discount promotions it is more for themes or celebrations Disney does and has done in the past. The discount rates and codes board will have more activity with more up to date information than this board
