Ok we're planning to go in August next year.
Its a trip to celebrate my son finishing his primary school,just debating on when to go.
we'd originally intended to go on Thursday 4th August for 2 weeks.
I heard the end of August is better so thinking we may change it so we fly a week later Thursday 11th Aug for 2 weeks
Is it worth going a week later? I heard its a bit quieter towards the end of August.

My husband needs to book next years hols at work

We're going for 13 nights from the 24th August to 6th September back just in time for school.

The prices got much cheaper on these dates, the crowds should be much quieter and it looks like we'll just catch the first Not So Scary Halloween Party on Sep 4th which is a massive bonus!

Thanks for that, my sons new school starts on 1st Sept so cant leave it another week.
Ive looked at prices for the 2 dates and there wasnt any difference.
Im guessing for the later dates the parks may be a bit quieter on the last few days?
If there isnt much difference may go on the earlier date.

Id love to visit when MNSSHP is on, will have to wait until he's left school for that i think.

In the past the parks are usually quieter from the last 2 weeks of August as many american kids go back to school.
so go for then if you can!

will stick with the later 2 weeks then. think husbands boss wants to book a holiday, thats why we're trying to decide when to go.
hopefully we'll get a few quieter days the last week.

Hi,

The later you go in August the better, not always easy with the return to school in early September.
You are right though, from around the middle of the month it gets quieter as many of the US schools return from the summer holiday, they break up earlier than we do over here so go back sooner too.

usually we go in May but are going in August to celebrate son leaving primary. I know its going to be hot and busy but we just have to go then.
Have fun planning
hopefully there should be free dining and perhaps other offers too. we usually go with Virgin but are going to looks for the best deals this time.
will prob stay at Universal 1 night as we want to see a Blue man show this time.
