Hello Every one,

So the Disney withdrawl is HUGE at the moment I need a fix or atleast know a trip is booked :rotfl:

I always wanted to go to USA for my 21st which is next August. After JackieLeanne informed me that she managed to book with free dining only paying £100 as a deposit well this has got me thinking these boards are just a tease and I have to book lol

So I am planning to go for my birthday next August and not having a trip at all this year to save for the trip of a life time next year :)

So I havent been in august before

how bad are the crowds? (Im expecting it to be packed im mean schools are out every where and every one being there)

Weather? (Hurricane season I went in September 3 years ago rainned every day)

Oh yeah my birthday is August the 9th Daves (DF) Is August the 10th so we will be there for his 24th as well so will be one big party lol

Hey. :goodvibes you'll love having your 21st over there I had the best expierence celebrating my 21st over there the cast members are all so lovely and everyday families and folk stopped to wish me happy birthday and a few people gave us their fastpasses. It was magical. The weather is so unpredictable when we was there end of August/September it was very very hot and hardly any rain in terms of September standards end of August is very quiet but I'd say for the beginning of August expect it to be busier.

Yeah we both did and me and jonathan(dbf) are both shy, it was really nice actually, we got it for $25 as part of the preorder photopass cd deal they had on although I think it has now gone up.

oh right thats good $25 dollars wow did you then buy pics on top of that price

im so excited that we could actually go for my 21st lol i always thought you had to pay all upfront with disney

So after having along discussion with Dave last night it looks like we ARE going :)

Animal Kingdom Logde 2 weeks we are only going to buy a week pass as we will get a day each free as we will be there for our birthdays :)

with free dining

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

We go in August, the crowds are not that bad and they drop a lot when the USA schools go back mid August. The weather in 2007 was fab, hot with little rain, the weather last year was rubbish as it rained loads, I'm hoping this year will be better :goodvibes

What a wonderful place to be on your 21st. My birthday is late July, so we did last week July, first week August for my 30th and DD's second birthdays and it was great.

Yes it was hot but just take the time to rest and swim. It gets crowded but you still skip a lot of the lines by getting there early and using fast pass.

With regards rain - I don't know if it ever rains for full days - hopefully others will be able to share their experience. We usually had rainstorms for an hour or so mid afternoon. We just got ponchos and for us, it kind of added to the excitement. Plus there's nothing like a good rainstorm to clear the crowds a bit.
Just make sure you take out an insurance that covers you for hurricanes.

we got married sept 2nd last year and we went 28th aug to 10th sept and the weather and crowds were great

As for hurricanes we sat through Jeanne in 2004 and disney were great, the day after everything was back up and running with no problems, i wouldnt worry about them otherwise you will ruin your holiday thinking of them

Last year there were a couple heading to florida before our wedding so I was worried then but they stayed away

Thanks for the replies

We only plan to go in the parks 7 days and if we get an extra day free for a birthday we will go in for an extra day

we wanted to go and relax more spend more time round the pool and just enjoying being away from home lol thats the reason we are spending more on a hotel as we plan to spend alot of time there

only going to parks in mornings and eveings when hopefully it is quieter and taking advantage of EMH

Do you mind me asking who you booked with for free dining etc.

We are a party of 9 and looking to book next year, we are DVC members and taking friends but Fly Drive works out pricey and it may be just better to book a package holiday.

Thanks

Disney direct are offering free dining for 2010 dining :D

flights air continental with 1 stop in newark (no one does a direct fllight from our nearest airport)
