August 2010 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

Just read the no posting about wanted reservations

I think I have finalized my ADR's and want to unload some of the ones I know I won't need. I will be happy to coordinate, since I was able to secure the ones I wanted here on the boards.

These are ALL for 4 adults:

Cape May Cafe, August 14, 7:45 pm dinner
'Ohana, August 14, 9:50 pm dinner
Crystal Palace, August 15, 4:00 pm dinner
Les Chefs de France, August 15, 7:00 pm dinner
'Ohana, August 18, 11:50 am, breakfast

Hoping someone can clarify as I just saw a related post. I have reservations that I made months ago and as the trip is approaching I am considering moving some of my days around. Of course some of the ressies I have I now cannot get on different days. Perhaps this is true of others where if we were to coordinate cancellations both parties could get what they want. I understand that trading/wanted are not allowed to be posted but what about mutual cancellations?

Seems to me that if you can coordinate one cancellation outside the board you should also be able to coordinate two mutual cancellations. Just checking since I don't want to post anything that is not allowed. Thanks!

What you're suggesting is a trade. You're giving up your reservation to the other person is dependent on them giving you something that you want. It would also necessitate posting wanted information on the thread.

If you choose to cancel a reservation there are several ways to go about it:

You can just go ahead and cancel it

You can post here first and share that you're going to cancel at a specific time

You can post here and say that you're going to cancel and ask for PMs if anyone is interested in coordinating a time.

You can cancel it and then post here what you canceled

OK, thanks. I have gotten a ton of info/advice just reading through this board and it is a great forum. The way I read the first page is that Disney does not allow for transferring of names on a reservation..ie..the ressie# stays the same. This would not be the case if two parties coordinate their cancellations so I guess I still don't see the issue but I will abide by the rules and just keep checking for new ressies!

We need to change our trip to a week later so unfortunately I need to cancel my 2 lunch reservations. I was SO excited to try Le Cellier twice in one trip. I rec'd one reservation from a GREAT Dis-er & the other 1 I was lucky enough to book myself.

August 16th @ 1145am
August 18th @ 145pm

I am going to cancel both of them at 730pm CENTRAL time. Send me a msg if you are interested..
