After going this August, I'm hoping to go at the end of August in 2009, and maybe catch the free dining (assuming that they offer it again).

We are also planning our August visit. It will be our 25th anniversary so I want to do it up right!!

We'll be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary too! I was able to get a good deal this year so I am hoping to get another one next year!

Besides free dining at the end of August, what other August deals/codes has Disney offered in previous years? I'm hoping to book a trip for the beginning of August 2009.

We went to Disney August 9th through 16th and got a pretty good rate at the CBR. I booked the End of Summer special and saved $40.00 per night at the CBR. I hope they offer something similar for next year.

I am going to go ahead and book our package at Pop Century and still hope for a special offer. Two years ago, I booked early and then a special offer came out and I was able to apply it to our package. I saved almost $400.00!

I am so depressed that we couldn't go this August. (It was our 25th Wedding Aniversary) BUT we are definitely going next August CBR here we come. Not exactly sure of dates, but at the end of August. And for 9 days. I'm hoping for a code. I received one in the mail this year but was unable to use it but my daughter did since she will be going on her Disneymoon October 20-28, 2008.

I need a dose of the mouse so bad right now!!!!

We are also planning a trip for August 2009. We went in August 2007 and loved it. I am new to this forum and I wonder if someone could tell me about the discount codes. We would like to go the last week of August and get the FD package. Can I book now and then update it when the FD goes public? Also, what other discounts could become available? Any info is really appreciated. Thanks!!

We're thinking 9 nights middle of August 2009 too. Have only had AAA discount in past trips (which is pretty good). Are the codes usually for packages (hotel and tickets?). Anyone ever book through Small World Vacations?

Well, it looks like we will get to go next august also. Is there much difference in the crowd levels during the beginning and the middle of august? We got the 40% off code and couldn't use it. Hoping for a good code for this summer.

We did a famly vacation in August 06 and went the end of August - Labor day! We had a great time - got in on the free dining and stayed at CBR. We are planning to go back in 09 - thinking of trying CSR and will be doing 3 nights at Universal (already bought universal tickets) and then 6 nights at Disney! Can you book AAA rate through disney? or do you book through AAA and if a lower rate comes out you get a credit?

This year they offered a room only or package discount to the general public that was released on 6/26 for check in 8/3-9/27. They also had the same promotion for Disney Visa cardholders for check 8/8-9/27 that was released 7/17.

I used AAA for my plan and ressies and I only got the regular AAA discount. We were there 8/10-8/16...was there much of a discount?? I am in the midst of planning a girlfriend trip for next August also...I would really like a big discount for this...

I called AAA today about the ASMu Family Suites. Based on the quote I got, there is a 15% discount. My dates are 8/25 - 9/2/09.

Yes, you can. Based on what happened in April when FD was offered to the general public, if your existing reservation dates fell within the FD period and you had booked a package, the CM was able to modify your existing reservation to reflect FD.

Also, if I'm not mistaken - you can not change a room only ressie to a package. So if you had a room only ressie, you would need to cancel and rebook a package with a room and at least a 1 day base ticket in order to get free dining. When you cancel your room only ressie, you are not guaranteed to get a room at that same hotel.

I'm pretty sure you can book AAA rate through Disney. Just call and ask if they have any AAA rooms available for your dates.

Just in case you were thinking of staying onsite at Universal, you can call Universal directly and book a room with a AAA discount.

You do need the one day ticket. GENERALLY, the CM will go ahead and book the PKG THEN cancel room only, to be sure you get in. If not, you hadn't canceled your room only and lost out all together. I have found CM's to be VERY kind with this.

Hi! I'm new to this - so I have a few questions.

Should I go ahead and book my split stay room only ressie and package ressie asap and then can I "add" a code if one comes out?

And can I book AAA discount without actually having AAA until time of check in? It seems to be cheaper to buy AAA and use the discount?
