:flower1: Is anyone going during this time? If so, have you booked places to stay? What type of pricing are you getting on hotels on and off property? Is it too early to book?

Thanks,
-Cheri

Hi ~

I'm actually going Aug. 31st through Sept. 19th but haven't booked my resort room yet, I'm going to do so at POP because I was just there (during the hurricanes and all) and it's a beautiful resort (I try a different resort each trip, but want to go back to POP again) anyway, I'm waiting for the new prices *rumors...releasing Jan. 2005??* so I'll hold out until then....

Thanks for the info. I am thinking about booking POP also. However, due to the length of our stay (10 days) I think I am going to do half off-site and half on. We've never stayed on-site before and I think it will be a special treat. I really want to stay at CBR, I'll just have to see if it will fit in my budget.

We are staying at POR for our honeymoon August 14 - August 21. Right now we are paying rack rate for a king room but are hoping for some good discounts.

We are planning to go Aug 27-Spet 3 or Aug 20-27. I love going in late August, we have done it three times thus far. As for lodging, we usually use priceline but want to get details about the MYW packages first. I plan on calling in early January to get the scoop.

We are planning a 4 day cruise and then staying in the WDW area for about a week afterwards depending on prices. I am waiting until June for airfare.

Poohbear2-
What hotels did you get on Priceline and what was the average cost? I am trying to avoid the Doubletree Castle, which is on Priceline - which is why I am reluctant to use it?

I am also waiting for the new rates to come out and hopefully I can book something decent on site at a good price. :flower:

I used priceline once for a one night stay. I bid on an airport hotel and I was not disappointed. We own at Orange Lake in April, but I hope to get a good rate for a WDW hotel. I am just waiting at this point. Since its summer, I am sure the rates ( or hope) will be pretty good.

Just to kick in on priceline, 3* have gotten the Wyndam on I-Drive, the Best Western LBV Resort on Hotel Plaza and the Doubletree Suites in 192. Paid between $25-$39/night.

MsMulan ~ Have you thought about an AP? We stay on-property for 2 weeks every August & have always gotten a good deal with the AP rates. We were at CSR this past summer & it wasn't that outrageous. This year, we're probably going to book 2 rooms at a Value b/c we're taking my 14 year old niece & want to give her a little privacy (shower & change, etc). Can't wait for summer codes! :earboy2:

I do not know a lot about AP's and if the benefits would outweigh the cost for my family. I will try to do a search on these boards to see if I can find more information. But anything you can share with me, I would appreciate also. One question that just popped into my head, does everyone in the party have to have an AP? Meaning, Can I buy one adult AP for me, get the rates for the room and then buy regular or no MYW PH's for my DD(9) and younger cousin (13).

I'll be in WDW staying onsite at CSR July 31 - August 6 and staying 1 week off site at Cypress Point (Aug 6 - 13). I just booked last week. So it’s not too early. I would just book to make sure you get the room you want.

Around Jan (looking back at Disney history) they usually release end of April - July codes/sales. August sales usually are not released until like the end of June. Disney usually has just August codes then the Fall sales are released. One of the reasons we booked for July was because I remember July having better sales and we missing those sales by some days of our arrival. So I figure with Disney having the policy that your first nights stay is your entire stay price I figure I couldn't go wrong booking the last day of July going into August :flower:

DS and I are going Aug 18 / Aug 28. We are staying at CSR and I booked this back in Sept. Paying full price right now but I booked thur Small World Vacations and they will keep an eye out for any discounts that become available. Still waiting on airfare, SoWest doesn't have anything yet for Aug.

we'll be there 8/24 - 8/28 staying at POR at $157 per night (including taxes) with a AAA discount. I also booked through Small World vacations and was keeping my fingers crossed for a better discount later on however, we had a very generous christmas gift given to us and we are now considering upgrading our hotel to a deluxe.
I'm not sure where we'll switch to - more than likely it will be one of the ones in the Magic Kingdom area. Back in 2002, we stayed at WL and loved it! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, except DH would like to try something new. Any suggesstions?

We booked our trip at the Polynesian/Yacht Club Aug 22- Aug 30 back in October at AAA rates. Looking for better rates later on. I even booked the airfare, now that Jetblue is open for year in advance.

Now I have to buy tickets. Not sure if I should buy them now or wait for the new ticket system.

Thanks Muffy Cat - I have checked them out and there trousers start at a 32" waist - so once he fills out a bit then I will be able to get trousers there. But they don't stock shoes.
