Marsha--

I think that's a great idea about having your mother join you and I'm sure she would love it. As far as making her feel welcome, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about with this group!

As the song goes... "We are fam-e-lee." ;)

By the way, I sent you a PM!

Marsha - My mom finally did get a computer but only uses it to play solitare. Oh well!

Welcome DisneyFansFour! You're officially on the list at the beginning of this thread.

BTW, it's not true that Grumbo and I cheat.

I play fair.:p

In response to a flood of requests for personal pictures of Grumbo and me, I've found the following from my files.

These were used at a publicity session Grumbo and I were at a couple of years ago (so we may not exactly look the same now), but will give you an idea. We were handing these signed copies out at the time, and will no doubt have some to distribute on the cruise.

Best Wishes;

Jazzman and Grumbo

No they don't cheat but they drink alot and don't share with their Friends and Family! As shown in the picture that Mark took of them on their last vacation!LOL

Marsha ~ That is nice that you can get along with your mother that well that you can invite her! I for one go on vacation to get away from mine!LOL I love her dearly but she can get a bit demanding! Plus since she has COPD the heat and humidity would not be good for her!

How much more is the drop off fee?? What car agency are you using?
I am planning to fly on the 9th to either LAX or John Wayne, (depending on fare), and tour around Ca/DL til the 19th and we then be checking on the on 19th which Ivanova booked us at H. Inn.
I have to figure out how to drop off the van on the 19th and get to the hotel that day! Anyone have any ideas??

I know, i have a long way off but i tend to get obsessed planning way ahead!! :hyper: i just like to put together and get some ideas.

Thanks for the remind, 3 days is usually all I can take! I may rethink this. And she has invited herself to visit me for a month or so in late September.

She is actually a really easy to get along with person, very intellegent, taught school for 27 years, very opinionated Democrat, but minds her own business. She has never told me what to do, she always let us all make our own decisions. I guess it worked! I have my doubts she will come, but if she does, she will love the shows and the attention, but she probably won't do any shore tours unless I get her a wheel chair. It's a long way off.

I'll have to find our picture from our last cruise and scan it. After I move!

Hi Bmwdsny...
The drop off fee is $100 with nearly all of the car rental companies when you're dropping in a different state.
However I've got prices within California picking up at LAX and dropping off at Enterprise's location near the port and it was $15 or $25 (I got the quote a few weeks ago and getting old :) ).
Depending on which way we go I'll either drop it off at LAX and take the shuttle by myself to the HI, or if we end up flying into LAX I'll drop it at the Enterprise location by the port.

Now as for Jazzman and his Photoshop antedeluvian fantasies....
The only similarities between Jazzman and Tom Cruise is that they have both seen Top Gun, and are both over 40. In Jazz's case it is WAY over but we won't go into that.
The purported photo of me is actually one of my better ones. I'm glad everyone liked it. Mike Myers (a Canadian lad) and myself are waiting for this weeks payments from Shrek 2 and may be upgrading to the Walt Suite :)

Gotta go.. Cameron Diaz is awaiting my wakeup call..

Cheers,
Grumbo

You guys are toooo funny!!:hyper:

May I have your autographs, please???;)

OK, we've added three new cruisers to the "Bringing the Magic Home" Cruise Site at ThreeCircles.net!

(Well, not new to Jazzman and Grumbo's list but new to the site. :) )

Kpgclark--

I have to apologize for not getting your info up on the site sooner! I am very unorganized when it comes to PMs from the Dis Boards and have been keeping track of all of the new cruisers from my e-mail inbox. At any rate, your info is on there now and if you need or want anything added, changed, or removed just let me know.

EmmasGrammy--

I just noticed that someone's getting ready for their first Disney Cruise! Just eight short days away, huh?

I may have another couple of people to add to the "senior set" of our group. DH's Aunt and Uncle (83 and 82 at time of cruise) are planning to come with us. They're currently holding Cat 11, Cabin 6049.

Well actually, Auntie is planning to come with us! Uncle doesn't know anything about it since Auntie wants to "surprise" him closer to the cruise. They came with us on the 2/28 Western cruise earlier this year and really loved it but Uncle has Parkinsons' Disease, so it's hard to gauge what his health will be a year from now. However, they were perfectly content with staying on the ship - enjoying all the meals, the shows, and all the Bingo games:)

I think I was meant to take them - I asked for a quote from DU (originally for a Cat 11 but then DH wanted a 10 instead - something about the bed rocking side-to-side this time instead of head-to-toe:rolleyes: ) I e-mailed DU in late April to request the quote change but they still quoted on the Cat 11. However, I panicked because cabins seemed to be going so fast and called DCL directly to reserve our Cat 10. My DD excitedly told Auntie about the cruise the night of May 5 after hearing me tell DH that I got it. Auntie called me and wanted me to book for her too! Of course all the prices had skyrocketed for new bookings, but DU was able to change the cat 11 I'd requested to Auntie and Uncle's names with no price increase. :) I was really surprised since the lead name definitely changed but perhaps they had our Castaway Club numbers linked and realized it was still the same family group.

However DU/DCL did it - they're booked! I just need to find a good time to break the news to DH because although they're his relatives, he gets more frustrated with the "turtle-pace" through airports, etc. and especially since we want to go to Disneyland too. DD Lara keeps babbling about all our plans (including Disneyland) and Auntie keeps telling me they'll do whatever we want - including Disneyland!

Stay tuned - this will be an interesting sidebar saga this year!:)

My parents are coming with us and dad is in his early 80's and mum in her 70's.
We've travelled with them in the past. They are great as they will tell us "No we don't think we can handle that, so you guys go on and we'll be fine". They are too. They love cruising and I think when we do D.L. they'll probably hang out at the hotel and read, have a drink or two and relax after the flight and drive.
We're really glad they've decided to come with us on this "adventure" and looking forward to it.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Jazzman and Grumbo...my, what handsome men we are travelling with...please be sure to save an autographed photo for us!! Grumbo...love the olive complexion--you must tan so nicely!! Mary Jo

Three Circles,

Thanks for noticing how close we are to getting on "Da big boat" (As our 3 yr old DGD calls it). I am so excited I think I'll BURST!! These boards are the only thing keeping me sane right now!!

I have been so busy keeping up with the Aug 05 cruise thread that this trip next week has crept up on me. I've been packed since Dec. so there is nothing to keep me busy right now! I have started "the pile" for the Aug 05 trip, and that "stuff" will go into the suitcases when we get back from this trip. I am soooo excited about the repo cruise and getting to meet all of you, but I need to put that on the back burner until I get back from this cruise. I'll be taking notes and post a trip report ASAP.

I'll get on my DH to e-mail our photo for your website (which is fantastic BTW). He thought we should wait till we have our photo from our Wonder cruise. We'll just see how it turns out first!!

Thanks to all of you fellow cruisers for the fun and banter here. You are helping my waiting time fly by!! Love you all!!!:lovestruc

Jazzman - maybe you should have used a picture of Tom Cruise from Cocktail to go along with the wine theme.

We are planning to bring my mother along. She will be 78 at cruise time. This will be her first cruise.

kgpclark - I will PM you about the DIS meet at King of Prussia Mall.
Thanks for the invite Sarah'smom, it's not too far, I have been there once before.

I think it is great that we will have "elders" cruising with us. More Grandmas and Grandpas to go around. I hope I am healthy enough to continue to travel into my 80's.

Jazzman - loved the photos of you and Grumbo! And as much as I love your look-a-like Tom, Grumbo's makes me laugh harder! Sorry about that!

Gotta' love this group!

?
How do we sign up for your board. I am already sigened up for the yahoo gfroup but had to use a different handle! :O)
