What's a "pressie"?
Present, pressie being a UK, normally British term.

Happy late birthday to Dan and Andy!

To the 15,000th poster on this thread I will buy you a "Drink of the Day" onboard AND bring you a special pressie from the Great White North.....

:rotfl2: Most of us would refer to it as a "prezzie" (or present). Grumbo has "unique" Canadian spelling!

Arlene

Sheesh it isn't spelt "prezent"!!
Present - pressie...

These Southerners from the Toronto area :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I also want that free Drink of the Day! Now, which day is Dom Perignon (by the glass; $47.50) the Drink of the Day???

I don't know what a pressie is but I want one!

Me too!

Oh by the way, I bought the Ewa-Marine underwater case for my camera the other day. I just checked the UPS website and it's out for delivery for I'll have it sometime today! Yippee.

Oh I get it! Just like ressie=reservation then pressie=present!!

Why didn't they just use Z's instead of S's that sound like Z's?

I am going to email Webster right this instant!!

Let me know what you think of it, Renee. I'm considering one for our 5 MP Sony DSP-92. Sony doesn't make a hard-shell one for that model (they do for the 93) but I don't really want to invest in yet another digital camera just to put it in the underwater housing that I'm spending $250 to buy!!!

Kinda scary how the offer of one itty-bitty little drink onboard is enough to jerk us all out of "lurkdom" this morning?? :confused3 :teeth: What the heck - count me in!

Wow! Great news Renee.

The photography store here in Tampa sells their products. I was actually thinking about buying one for my little Nikon Coolpix point and shoot. I would love to be able to take some nice underwater shots.

I would also love to buy a housing for the D70 but, as I mentioned, $1000 is just way too much for what little use I would get from it.

Travis and I are actually still toying with the idea of getting SCUBA certified before the cruise and doing a dive or two on the trip. You should get some great pictures if you snorkle!

I'll let you know. I tried to get a Sony one for mine too, and wasn't very happy when I found out they don't make one.

I don't know about you Arlene, but I'm going for the $47.50 glass of Dom!

Come on number 15,000! Bring it on!

Does Ewa-Marine make a case for the D70?

I'm definitely hoping to go snorkling and try it out. If not me, then I know Lenny will go. We got some great pics using the Fuji Disposable underwater cameras so I can't wait to see what the pics will look like with the digital underwater.

I'm not sure if they do or not, actually. The only underwater housings I've seen for the D70 are the hard-cases.

WOO-HOO! PAGE 1000!!!!!!

How many pages do we expect to hit? 121 days to go ... 1000 pages in the first 350 days ... x rate of acceleration as cruise gets closer ...

HMMMM??????
