Welcome Dave!

You should definitely get your email to Tracy. The newsletter has lots of great info!

Also, check out the other (3 C's) site that is listed in the newsletter (we can't reference it on the Dis.) There are some excursion discussions and sign-up threads at this site in addition to lots of other SOF info.

As some of you are aware, we (Texas Instruments) have a couple of plants in China. Due to the problem with pronunciation, the company (a policy I do not agree with BTW) has taken to giving all the local employees English names (well, sort of English, we do not add random "U"'s). One of the people I am dealing with there has a family name of Pan, and we have assigned him (by accident, no doubt) the English first name of Peter.

Hence, this morning I find myself emailing Peter Pan about milling machines.

Guess thats kind of dovetails with that fantasy you were discussing last week in chat of being Tinkerbelle ;)

Cheers,

Have to agree with kmiles, Jenny---he's adorable. But then again, according to my 3 y.o. nephew--I have a "rat" too. And I love all 3.5 pounds of her!!

Mines a big boy compared to yours. He weighs a whopping 7.5 pounds. Yours sounds about like or first baby (we called her Nala). We only had her for about a week and a half before we lost her  . She was 9 weeks old and weighed 1.5 pounds.

And Kmiles - he wasn't adorable last night (actually this morning) when he woke me up at 4:30 to go outside.

Oh yes he was. You know he has you wrapped around his little paw. ;)

And if he's anything like my cats, he knows it too. :)

Oh he does. And DH too. He spoils him more than I do I think (even though it's MY dog).

WELCOME DAVE!
The best way to keep up with all the info is to read Tracy's newsletter. It saves me when I get "lost" here.
See you in August,
Darlene

So you guys have "rats" as pets.....meet my Daisy a/k/a harp seal a/k/a yellow lab that does not know how to retrieve but loves to lay around like a seal.

I have a highly technical question for you Fellow Fools:

How do you get the Home Depot Mickey Heads off of the backer cards they come on?

Please share your expertise!

I have had no success in that department.....I am going to wind up scanning them into my computer, adding verbage and then printing them out and gluing a magnet on the back, or using magnetic paper....

I did read on the main cruise board that some used a hair dryer to lossen the glue and then peeled them off....

To Dave and Family: Welcome from a fellow World Championship Red Sox Nation resident. It's about time you checked in here with us. Please stop in more frequently as we love the additional input. Are you close to Central Mass?

Jazz, You've got the best job in the world........emailing Peter Pan. What a great life.

I soak them in hot water until the glue loosens and then I place them inside a book to uncurl the one that have curled.

I just peeled it off very slowly and carefully and then scanned it so I could save it and print it out whenever I want to.
