I AM OFFICIALLY A MEMBER OF THE COSTCO FAN CLUB!

Called today and transfered my ressie to COSTCO and saved some serious $$$. I never would have known about the store if you all hadn't fussed about it so much. Thanks! :cool1:

I like the disname t-shirt. Would love to see our name on it, "sandygirl".

Congratulations to JWEISS, you must be so happy! :Pinkbounc

I may not be one of the top "10" but I'm having fun already. I figure in 14 days onboard I'll run into some of you at sometime or other. It can't be helped! The Fools have taken over the ship!

Thanks, Rae Ann! Maybe the buses can make a "stop" for us??? :rotfl2:

Arlene

Based on Rae Ann's information and the overwhelming interest in Costco by the Sisterhood, I have contacted Karmel Transportation, and they have aggreed to let the HoJo bus make an additional stop at the Signal Hill Cosco. All Sisters are encouraged to get off the bus and do any last minute shopping while the bus takes the remaining passengers to the ship, where your mates can check you in for the cruise. Fear not, the bus will most likely return to Costco to pick you up. And since the bus will have extra seats at that time, I encourage all non HoJo bus passengers to also drop off your Sisters at Costco enroute to the port. We will be glad to offer them the extra seats whenever the bus returns for the pick up. Glad I could make this happen for all of you!

Just in case my earlier stats post has rattled anyone, the TOP TEN was only a comment that literally HALF of the jibberish on this thread came from only 10 people's posts! (I was bored at the time I worked out the percentage. ;) ) Thankfully, we have many more participants on this thread to keep things interesting and to keep that ten (myself included) from just yapping to ourselves! :rotfl2: I can't wait to meet this whole group onboard!

I'm really sorry if I offended anyone - it was NEVER my intention.

Dear Friend,

I am Mr.Maxwell Ibom, Accountant Union Bank Nigeria Plc, Lagos- Nigeria.I
have urgent and very confidential business proposition for you. On June 6,
2000,a Foreign Oil consultant/contractor with the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Barry Norman made a numbered time (Fixed) Deposit
for twelve calendar months, valued at US$5,500,000.00, (Five Million, five
hundred thousand United States Dollars) in my branch.

Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but
got no reply. After a month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered
from his contract employers, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
that Mr.Barry Norman died from the occurance of the Tsunami Earth Quake in
Indonesia. On further investigation, I found out that he died without making
a WILL, and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless. I
therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr.Barry Norman did
not declare any next of kin or relations in all his official documents,
including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank. No one will ever come
forward to claim it.

According to Nigerian Law, at the expiration of 3 (Three) years, the money
will revert to the ownership of the Nigerian Government if nobody applies to
claim the fund.

Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a Foreigner to stand in
as next of kin to late Mr. Barry Norman. I am writing you because I as a
public servant cannot operate a foreign account or have an account that is
more than $1m. All these are to make sure that the fruits of this old man's
labour will not get into the hands of some corrupt government officials.

This is simple. The money will be moved out for us to share in the ratio of
50% for me and 50% for you. I assure you that it is 100% risk free.

Please observe utmost confidentiality, and be rest assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of us because I shall require
your assistance to invest my share in your country Awaiting your urgent
reply.

Reply me through my private e-mail maxwell_ibom4@virgilio.it

Thanks and regards.
Mr.Maxwell Ibom.

This is e mail i got today......Gee should i go for it???? :rotfl2: :sad2:

A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary
surgeon. As she lay her pet on the table, the vet
pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's
chest.

After a moment or two, the vet shook his head
sadly and said, "I'm so sorry, your Duck 'Cuddles' has
passed away."

The distressed owner wailed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. The duck is dead," he replied.

"How can you be so sure," she protested. "I mean,
you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He
might just be in a coma or something."

The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left
the room, and returned a few moments later with a
black Labrador Retriever.

As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the
dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the
examination table and sniffed the duck from top to
bottom. He then looked at the vet with sad eyes and
shook his head.

The vet patted the dog and took it out, and
returned a few moments later with a cat.

The cat jumped up on the table and also sniffed
delicately at the bird from head to foot. The cat sat
back on it's haunches, shook its head, meowed softly
and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry,
but as I said, this is most definitely, 100%
certifiably, a dead duck."

Then the vet turned to his computer terminal, hit
a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the
woman.

The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill.
"$150!", she cried, "$150 just to tell
me my duck is dead!!

READY YET?

OK

The vet shrugged. "I'm sorry. If you'd taken my
word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with
the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150.00."

Thanks to everyone for the anniversary wishes :goodvibes

DH is willing to be a judge for the photo contest if you still need another.

:cat:

I am feeling very deprived. I never got a coconut and now I haven't won any large sums of questionable money. :sad2:

Kmiles I love the logo. Purple is my favorite color and that certainly fills the bill. I would like our dis name on the back too. Will reread the newsletter and find the email address.

So much for winter being over. Started as rain but changed to yuck late this afternoon. Roads are full of water and slush. And it is all going to freeze tonight. Lovely morning tomorrow. :cold:

Congratulations Jennifer on your babys' adoption becoming final!!:cheer2:

Estelle :duck:

Sisters, not to worry...this is the Costco I shop at, it's just minutes from my home. If you want to stop at this Costco and don't trust izzi to wait for you, I will hire a Limo to meet you there and it will take us to the Magic. We can begin the drive by having the first of many toasts to the Ship of Fools Sisterhood in the limo (Always another alternative LooneyHOODs!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

OK, time to get off my work computer and get home for the evening. I'm officially on Spring vacation now! :cool1:

Looking forward to reading what else you all have been jibberishing about this week later tonight. :flower:

Am aware of it now!!! ;)

Here you go, Renee:

The flash did fade out the colors a bit and I agree that the shirts probably look better in real life than they do in the pics.

The only "bad" thing about the shirt is the outline from where the iron-on paper meets the shirt. Of course, it's not as noticible when you have the shirt on and under normal lighting conditions.

But, for $10.50, I'm happy with it! :)

Fellow Fools: I found this when I Googled "Ship of Fools". I thought you all might be interested in more info about IzziBob's painting and it's artist:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of_Fools_(painting)

From Nancy's article:

"The Ship of Fools is a painting by Hieronymus Bosch, which shows humans wasting their lives foolishly with playing cards, drinking, flirting, eating, etc. instead of spending it in "useful" ways."

Hmmmm... I always thought those things were pretty useful! ;)

Thanks for the article Nancy. My humanities classes in college were some of my favorite!

Maybe this for the pocket logo on the front of the shirt?

Of course, the color scheme can be adjusted. Although, purple is known to be the color of royalty so I think it's suitable for us. :teeth:

Ohhh... and maybe we could slip a hidden Mickey in there somewhere!

I love this for the shirt!
