Ok, now i am really confused...:worried: Did this event with Mark (tag gun)and Jazz(layoffs) really happened??? I didn't take them too seriously. i have been lurking here throughout the morning, now afternoon, between raking leaves outside, am beginning to wonder now. The one thing i am really good at is observing faces and body languages and am smart enough to know whether people are kidding or not..but here posting...i am a dummy!! I can read it either way and i always have to be very skeptical, wondering whether it is fact or fiction....You just never know with Mark, Grumbo, Jazz and even Bob, whether they are putting us on or not...THEY ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!

Sisters... Was their event fact or fiction???

I am such a dumb blonde!

Regarding school calendars - How did it go, kpgclark? Are you still going?
Hope so!

You know, there are times I really enjoy lurking here. I just had to explain Mark's story to a co-worker because they wanted to know what I was laughing at so hard.

Jazz: I have been in a similar situation where I was doing something serious (not laying anyone off, though) and started laughing. Tried to keep it quiet, hard to do. Normally happens in meetings. Then I have to turn and look out the window!

The more I lurk here and the more I read, the more I expect DCL is going to have a do a MAJOR overhaul on the Magic when it arrives in Orlando. Going to look like a group of teenagers have been on a 2 week tear through the ship. Just hope you all don't get thrown overboard!

I go away for a day to an office meeting on Diversity in the Workplace, and look at this thread!!!

When the instructors asked for examples of "Diversity", for some reason I came up with more types of people than anyone else in the class! I wonder where I got my examples from??????

Yes, Jazz' story is true. This was the employee's last day at work. He had already been told he was laid off, but Jazz was doing all the final paperwork, etc. in his office this morning with the guy. I'm sure the guy thinks Jazz is a jerk!

Mom2Belle&PeterPan: Thank you for including me in the list of the SISTERHOOD, I shall do my best to uphold the responsibilities bestowed on us!

Mark, I hope you are feeling better, and that you have found "everything" back in its proper place.

Denise

Not A Dumb Blonde!

Mark is using the old "Best Defense is An Offense!"

So he inflicked a Bit O' Pain on himself!

But Heck, it's worked!

I can't stop laughing all day!

Melinda I have read probably 5 different versions of Mark's story with names of coworkers or acquaintances inserted over the past 6 weeks. NO he didn't zap himself. :)

Cheers,

Don't laugh, I have had 2 dreams that I was on cruise ship or ships that actually went on land, and at a not to slow rate of speed. I think that one of them was a Disney ship, but I know the other wasn't. Funny how the mind works.

I had a very nice phone call from Mary Jo earlier today. She was remeinding me about our dinner date next month with some of the May and October cruisers. Woo Hoo, I will get to meet some of the more refined passengers, and they will meet one of the more crazy ones. She is already trying to convince me to sail in October 2006. I will give it some thought.

I have also ready Marks story in the past, so I know he was kidding. At least I hope he was. What if he was the true originator and finally decided to tell us?

Come on and join us in October 2006. It'll be fun, the more, the merrier! We already have over 100 people in our group and it's still 2 years away!

Gee, i don't think any one of us know if it is true or not...Scratch says yes, Grumbo says no....YADA YADA.....

WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Renee, marsha,
I am going to try to booked a cruise for the Oct 14 2006...I find out more about it when i cruise next week...

Melinda, Grumbo is right. It's fiction. I was up early this morning and surfing for more ideas for the Desperate Dis Wives and I came across that story. It seemed to be begging me to post. I didn't stop laughing for a while and I knew you guys would enjoy a more personalized version. Nothing like starting off the day with a laugh!!...Mark

OK, so the freakin' story was NOT TRUE! I'm usually not so gullable, but I don't repeat the same error twice...and to think, I was actually showing some compassion...

Denise W, glad to have you onboard with the Sisterhood! I'm sure you'll do us all proud!

Off to take dd and two of her friends with dh and I to see The Incredibles. Teen ds did not make any arrangements per our suggestion to bring friends, so he's seeing the new Pierce B. movie at the same time. Now, Pierce B. is sure candy to the eyes, saw him at the AP opening of Snow White at DL and he was very charming and handsome!!!!!!!

TGIF all!!!

Actually, flew out of Ontario (all of about 15 minutes from our house).

Aunty Brat had chemo on 11/17, so probably not up to getting on the 'puter much this week. I'm sure she'll be back to posting in the next week or so. :)

How the heck did you win a trip to Cuba!?! Congratulations!!!!!

Wish I had the vacation dilemma - I have the opposite problem: too many days off banked and not enough opportunities to use them!

I'm sitting in the office on a Friday night, working until at least 1 or 2 am!

Once upon a time There lived a king. The King had a
beautiful daughter, the Princess.

But the kingdom was a sad place.
There was no laughter, and no joy.
The problem was, that
everything the Princess touched would melt.
No matter what, metal, wood,
plastic...anyhing she touched would melt!!

Because of this, men were afraid of her.
Nobody would dare marry her.
The king despaired.
What could he do to help his
beautiful daughter?
He consulted his wizards and magicians.

One wizard told the king, "If your
daughter touches one thing that
does not melt in her hands, she
will be cured."

The King was overjoyed. The next
day, he held a competition. Any man
who could bring his daughter an
object that would not melt at her
touch, would marry her and inherit
the King's wealth.

Three young princes took up the challenge.

The first Prince brought a very hard
alloy of titanium.
When the Princess touched it, it
melted. The Prince went away sadly.

The second Prince brought a huge
diamond, thinking that diamond is
the hardest substance in the world
and will not melt.

But, alas, once the Princess touched
it, it melted. He too went away disappointed.

The third Prince approached. He
told the Princess, "Put your hand
in my pocket and feel what is in there."
The Princess did as she was told,
though she turned red.

She felt something hard. She held
it in her hand...and it did not melt!!

The King was overjoyed!
Everybody in the kingdom was
overjoyed!

And the third Prince married the
Princess and the both lived
happily ever after.

The question is?!?!?!?

What WAS the object in the Prince's pocket???
