We just did one gift per family, and we only did it once. It is time consuming, and on a cruise of only 5 days, I wouldn't want to deliver more than once, especially since the ship is so much bigger LOL.

Lisa, I agree with Erika.

I believe we also just did one per family with the exception of some VERY inexpensive additional stuff for the kiddies...Candy can correct me later if I'm wrong...LOL

I don't know if this name was suggested already, how about Dream Dippers? I think I need to get some coffee to get the creative juices flowing...:surfweb:

Okay, that makes me feel a little better. I was getting a bit overwhelmed. I have grabbed a bunch of stuff already for my August 2010 Med cruise, but I only have a handful of people even talking on that thread. So, I have a feeling I will have a bunch of stuff to carry over to our cruise. So much fun!

On our last cruise we divided the group in 2. Most of us delivered every day but we only had 10 rooms on each list and the Wonder is 40% smaller. I think if we stay together as a whole we should do only one gift for the whole cruise not daily. If we do that it might be a good idea to assign a certain day to people so we get things throughout the cruise and not all on the first day. Sometimes the gifts were for the whole cabin other times people gave to each person in the cabin.

Can you tell me more about the fish exchange? What are some examples of things that are given? Thanks!

I have lots of first cruise questions--
What to do on Castaway Cay?
How about Nassau?--Is Atlantis worth it--I have heard about comfort suites too is that still available?
What are some things to sign up for before the cruise or right away when you get there?

How much do you spend on Excursions?

Thanks guys--just thinking ahead.

Amy

Please can you tell us more

It was from Houseparty.com they picked families to host a Disney Cruise Line Party and as part of being a host you got a party pack. That had tokens in it to win a free cruise, poster, luggage tags, puzzles, crayons, a really nice apron, a DCL House Party Pin, a Totem Pole Statue that has DCL characters on it, I have two if anyone is interested in the second one. A DVD, balloons, DCL bags, tissue paper, Brochures, Yard Signs, Tatoos, I am sure I am missing something the box weighed close to 19 pounds!!

Hi Gang -

Okay, I know our cruise is forever away, but I am a fanatic when it comes to planning. I have never been involved in a Fish Extender Exchange before and with our large group, I want to make sure I plan accordingly. There is so much great stuff out there right now and when I see it I want to grab it to hold on for our cruise.

My question, for those of you who have been involved in a large Fish Extender Exchange before, how was it typically handled? Did you buy gifts for each member of the family for everyone involved? Did you do it more than once during the cruise? Just trying to get a handle on the details so I can be prepared. I have actually already started gathering stuff up - I'm a nut :rotfl:

Thanks!

Last two cruises we did one gift per family!!

There is so much to do on CC or you can do nothing at all....There are things that you can sign up to do on CC-like stingray adventures, etc.
I have heard a lot ot Great things about Atlantis....

There are sooo many good choices...

Near the top of the page, click on quick links and then click on edit signature..then copy your ticker in where you want it.

We got all kinds of stuff from our FE, we got candy, stickers, magnets for our door, glow sticks, emergency kits (band aids, hand sanatizer, ect.), card games, nail polish and hair band for my daughter and light up pirate necklace for my son. I really liked the home made things we got, some people are sooo crafty! here's a link of home made things people on the Dis have gotten. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980639 Many of us also decorate our doors on the cruises, we make magnets since the doors are metal (does anyone know if the Dream doors are going to be metal?) here's a couple of links to check out the doors and for graphics to make your own http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2281626&highlight=FE+gifts and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2299290&highlight=FE+gifts As for excursions they also have boards for those....and my husband wonders why I never leave these boards!

I think you need a certian number of posts on the board before you can add those. I think I had 100 posts before I could put mine on. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Alright - I got up this morning and checked our thread - pretty good since I was all caught up.

Then, I went and did all my Saturday morning errands. I come back and find that I am missing all these conversations! Note to self...don't leave the house!:lmao:

Okay, I love all the names. I think we should set up a poll.

I will post fish exchange information tonight on the website for people who want some more details on that. On our last cruise, each family delivered 1 times to each of the families on the list. It worked out good. I will say that I had all our gifts packaged, labeled and put in order so it went really quick for us to deliver.

I plan on spending a bit more time on the site later tonight and will try to get as much done as possible. I feel bad that it takes me so long to get some of the pages started up. If only I didn't have to work, or clean the house, or tend to the family....:rotfl:

Happy Saturday everyone!

Good Luck with the H1N1 shot. I hope your arm does not hurt too much!!

I didn't get it done as I have a bit of a cough and a sore throat so the Dr told me to come back in a week to 10 days.

I have some more tokens for the free cruise left. PM your email and I will send you a chance to win. I have 15 emails so far. You can send me any good friends or relatives also. I will send out the tokens when I have all of them given out. pirate:
