Love the name! Glad I came up with it! Makes me still feel useful in the creative writting department!

We've been sooo busy, like everyone else trying to get ready for the holidays. When does it end?! Most of the gifts are wrapped, we still need to shop for a few. It's been bitter cold!!! Friday night I let DD open a Christmas present, we each got Slankets from QVC! The best money I ever spent!!!! So warm! I told DH they're better than a man!

Last week we went to NYC for the Princess and the Frog, shopping at American Girl and all that tourist stuff. Thanks for the dinning tip Cigy!

Still waiting to hear if I got that job I applied for almost ONE MONTH AGO!!! Good Lord, this is driving me nuts!!!!

Hello everyone. Sorry have not posted in a while. Weekends are just crazy until the holidays.

Last week my youngest DD had her holiday concert. I have to say it was the best elementary chorus concert I have been to. They did a song called Hot Cholcolate and each had a mug and did a little dance - it was so entertaining.

This weekend was baking cooking and my DN's turned 6. On Sunday my DH's company paid for it's employees and families/friends (5K of us) to a free showing of cirque de sol (speller I am not!!) It was really good - those people are so flexible!!

Actually, I was a slug. I didn't really look for a job with intent until we came home in September. Shhh! Don't tell the people at unemployment!!

I consider myself lucky, it only took me 3 months of hunting to land my DREAM job!!!! I start Wednesday!!!!

The FOX building is right across the street from the Diamond district in NYC, oh Eric?!?!?!?!

Technically it's 385 miles. For now I will be doing it 5 days a week! My husband works for FOX News PT, hopefully someday we'll move closer, but not to NJ!!!!!

Happy Tuesday! I hope that it is not as cold for everyone else...our HIGH today is 5°...yep, we are under another cold advisory here today...it is going to feel like 20 below zero again with the wind chills! I have to get a count down to spring going (for us in Minnesota, that is MAY)!

Going to see the Minnesota Wild play tonight (our professional hockey team)! Looking forward to a fun night with the family!

Michele - Congrats on the job! I am excited that you got the job you wanted...it is great when that happens! The commute is a bummer though. How do you even commute that far every day? Car? Train? Plane? Do you start soon? Very exciting!

Thank god they only did a CIA and an FBI check and not a DCL background check-- they never would have hired you if they did that
