:cool1:what was the score ?- bet it was hot for Everton ! Its cold in the low 60's here today

Everton lost to Philadelphia 0-1 on a goal in the 88th minute. We could tell that the heat was taking it's toll on them during the last 20 minutes - the temps during the game were in the upper 30s C.

I mailed out the check a couple of days ago, so hopefully you should get it very soon.

Thanks

Well, DS and I have been at the cabin for 3 days. We have had really hot weather, sticky air with high humidity, horrible storms, cool sticky air that turned hot again, tons of horse flies that have bit us to pieces and a leach stuck on Ben. We have watched many movies, worked on a puzzle, soaked in the lake, gone fishing, went on a bike ride, visited the local potter, played card games and enjoyed relaxing together. We both have new scratches, many scabs from itching our bug bites and sunburn. It is time to go home. :rotfl2:

We have cleaned the cabin this morning and are getting ready to go get DD from dance camp. While it has been a great time, we are looking forward to being back home tonight!! :lmao:

Glad you had a great time.

This time, in three weeks time our plane should be coming in to land!!!
:banana::banana::banana:

(how sad am I:rolleyes1, I feel like a little child the night before Christmas)
I'm so ready for this vacation;)

I was talking at work about our land, sea, land vacation and was getting excited. Someone asked me if it was next week and was surprised when I said in 25 days. They all looked as me if I had 3 heads. IT IS SO GREAT TO BE ABLE TO SHARE THIS EXCITEMENT WITH YOU GUYS BECAUSE YOU DO GET IT. :cool1::dance3::cheer2:

It's awful out again today, too! Jake and I went to a soccer game in Philadelphia last night (our favorite English team, Everton, was playing) and it was sooooo uncomfortable.

It was hot today too. Tomorrow, it is supposed to be even hotter...I bet it was awful at the game last night. On Monday night the girls went to see their friends swim meet it was soo HOT at the indoor pool!!

Today we hung out by the pool with some friends. Bruce had to fly to Dallas yesterday morning @ 4:00 am, and he landed this morning @ 1:30 am....UGH!! He is beat!!

We were invited to attend that game with my DS12 new soccer team-he's playing for Everton America Connecticut starting the day we return. Didn't go though.

The game time temp at 7:30PM was 99 degrees!?! Keira had swim practice tonight (indoors) and the A/C was not working in the building. I wanted to just die - it was not pleasant. Her last outdoor meet is Sunday - hopefully the temps will creep down a bit.

Very cool! He's learning to play "the Everton Way"! What position does he play. Our DS(12) is a keeper and was very disappointed that Tim Howard did not play last night.

Why do I read these boards????? After reading this I realized I had to get a swim cover up. Another person mentioned Lands End and I found they have some nice cover-ups on sale for $13.50. I also found code SALEAWAY (pin 4523) that will give free shipping with no minimum purchase until 6/30.

Sorry to tempt others to buy, but If I am going to be broke I need to take some people down with me! :thumbsup2

I feel so "lucky" that I live in Miami and we are driving in my husbands big Dodge Ram, so I can pack and over pack and over pack! Swimsuits cover ups I have tons that had collected trough the years and some I wore so much that had become pj's. As far as Pirate night...well my DH wants me to wear a "Pirate Wench" costume but ain't happening. had seen some cute ones on line, but they are a "little" to sexy for the DCL...my DD is going all out!
On semi formal night and every night I'm wearing sun dresses, my DH is wearing a jacket for dinner and then will get rid of it for the club.

What I always try to keep in mind is that you dont want to feel stuffed by day 3 and end the night with blisters for the heels you never wear and decide to take, so pack what makes you feel "suave y tropical" (google it)

Can't wait blessings to all

20 more days until Vero! 9 more days of work until VACATION! (I work part-time) I have everyone scheduled for haircuts, me for a cut/color and maybe keretin staightening. I also need a mani/pedi for DD and I.

We are almost finished with the last of the FE's. I am going to ship the bulk of my stuff to the ship. I did this on the last 2 cruises with no incident and then I don't have to explain to DH what he is lugging in the suitcases. and with all of DS medical equipment we have more than enough in the carry-on department.

Well off to bed, I just found out that I have to pick DD up from dance camp tomorrow. She is away with 2 friends and their mom was supposed to drive all the girls home, these girls are now going to stay an extra week and my daughter wants to come home. I tried to convince her to stay, but she misses us. She is only 9 and has never been away this long without her brothers, or with some family (aunts, cousins). But now I have 8 hours of driving tomorrow. It is about 200 miles away from us. I have to admit, I miss her too. She better not change her mind when I get there and decide to stay!!

1 more school day left:cool1:
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I can't wait for the "I'm too excited to sleep night".
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 THAT is me since the cruise docs arrived !!! :cloud9::cloud9:

The Times Square area is a tough one (for me at least) - so many chain restaurants and tourists, etc. Though the pizza place I think I referenced in an earlier post (John's) is in that area! So is Carmine's - which we go to if we are traveling in a large group sometimes. Other places that we've been in that area - Trattoria Trecolori, Churrascaria Plataforma (but you need to really love meat and eat here on an empty stomach :lmao:), if you want a big, fat, heart attack-inducing sandwich there's the Carnegie Deli! :rotfl:
:worship: THANKYOU !! I' ve written those down in our  DAY-by-DAY-FOOD planner !!!:rotfl:
Now I'm going to search the places online !!! :) Love the planning part of our vacation !!! CIAO to Vicki !!

Carnegie Deli - -haven't been there in years! If you do go, plan to share a sandwich and then some. I've often shared a sandwich with 3 other people and it was still a good size.
:thumbsup2 Will remember your advice , thankyou !! :)

:donald: No page 2 for us!
:wave2: from Italy !! Give a big  to Candy for me !!

Looks like our boys have something in common...
He had played defense up until last year when he was keeper because they couldn't find another and he had some previous training. He tried out as striker (!) so we'll see how he does in an offensive position. It will be a bit more exciting to watch this season, for us. They're going to be totally different teaching styles, his previous coach was Jamaican and his league was Brazil/Samba. Now he's learning "The Everton Way".

My daughter Bethany turned 10yo yesterday! :scared1:

Tonight the two of us are going to the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ to see Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan.

My brother works for Luke Bryan so we will get to see him as well as the concert! :)

We are armed with sealed bottles of water (allowed as per their website) and I'm hoping it cools off just a tiny bit before tonight! Weather.com is saying it will be 98 at 6pm, going down to 90 by 10pm.

Tomorrow I volunteer for a few hours in the parking garage of a hospital helping parents w/ their car seats. It will still be hot, but not in the direct sun so hopefully it won't be too bad. Then I get to take Beth and a friend out to dinner and then a movie (Monte Carlo w/ Selena Gomez) for Beth's birthday. At least that will be in air conditioning!

I hope everyone keeps cool!

We are BIG Country music fans, Tim McGraw is one our favorites next to King George. Have a great time, stay cool. Happy Birthday Bethany!!:bday:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETHANY!!

My girls want to see Monte Carlo too!!

We are actually NOT country music fans (but it ends up who my brother tends to work for...he was with Joe Nichols for a while and does occasional work for Hank Williams, Jr.), although we appreciate it so tonight will be fun.

My brother's first big gig was with a christian ska tour...THAT was interesting! (and they were excellent muscians) He's worked with other groups and musical genres aw well, but being based in Nashville the country gigs tend to outnumber everything else. I should add that he's a sound engineer.
