Doesn't that figure, Friday and Monday are the 2 days I can do MK. Oh well, add me to the crowd. :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry about it...just get there early. We are always able to do a huge amount in the first 2 hours.

2 days left at school :cool1:

Can someone remind me - where / when are we meeting for the cabin tour? thanks xx

Yeah Helen! You have almost made it...only 2 days left! :woohoo:

All the information for the cabin tour is on the website.
http://web.me.com/jenbanderson/DreamCruise/Cabin_Tour.html

Looks like the meeting spot is at 2:00 or 2:30 on deck 13 in the family zone.

Afternoon Everyone.

It is going to be really hot here the next couple of days. As we do not have a pool, I will be going from our A/C home to the A/C car to A/C work and back again!!:lmao:

Laura - not sure I can make the mini meet at the Poly. Put me down as a maybe.

Randy - you were up really early today. :scared1:

Can I just say I CANNOT WAIT for vacation!!! Being out of the office for 11 business days is just going to be heaven!!:woohoo:

Hi, I just wanted to respond. We ordered from this company and never received the product. We emailed them and never got an answer. We paid by credit card and cancelled the transaction and got our money back!

We went ahead and ordered the product on isnorkle.com. They were wonderful in answering our phone calls and we got the product right away!

Here is another thread on the subject http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2418831&highlight=safe+sea

Good luck!!!

Deb

We'll be at MK on Saturday

I just made my DS an appointment for braces the Monday we come back. And he starts soccer practice on a new team. We'll have a week before school starts so the kids get a little downtime before we start again.

According to my best park/worst park resources...you should visit MK on Sunday.

Friday and Monday are listing MK as the worst park and Saturday it is neutral.

Interesting. Guess I'll look into Sunday. I would not have guessed that one. Thanks!!! I always heard the weekends were no-no's, but I guess that time of year it may be moot since everyone's out of school anyway.

I think part of that reasoning is weekends tend to be travel days, so most people are getting in one last day on Friday before they leave, or Monday is their first day there. That said, I have always found Saturday to be a nightmare in the MK after noon or so!

Good to know. Honestly if they do not come when they are suppose to I will file the complaint with PayPal and find something new.

Can we still participate in the cabin tour if we are not listed on the website? If not, can we still sign up? :confused3

Thanks!

You should be able to still sign up. Send a PM to Brenda (hgb4) since she is the one who is organizing it. :thumbsup2

Just to enable all you shoppers... Here's a 20% off entire purchase for the Disney Store: DISNEYPAL. It's a friends & family sale from 7/21-7/24. If you have the actual coupon, you can use it in store, I'm sure you can google it & print it out.

Now a serious question. When should I do MK? Fri. has the extra late hours which we can't use. I understand it's best to avoid MK on weekends, so that leaves Mon. We arrive later on Thurs so trying to hold off until Mon when we get on the boat Tues may be difficult. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks!!

Thanks, for the code. Off to do some shopping...LOL!!

For those of you shipping a box to the ship, when do you plan on mailing it, and will you do it through the postal service, UPS, FedEx, or something else?

Beth

I was thinking about shipping it down the first week in Aug. or later next week. I usually ship it USPS.....Are you thinking of shipping down a box??

We received our lanyards today!:banana::banana:

:goodvibes:goodvibes GOOD LUCK to everyone who is experiencing "record HEAT" !!!

Good Evening Everyone,

Another HOT day today!! Had FUN hanging out by pool today!!

We are doing MK on Sunday (EMH that night too!).

We're planning for MK on Sunday, so I am happy to hear we picked a good day! :goodvibes

We're doing MK on Sunday...but the Sunday we get off the ship! The crowd prediction was definitely lower on Sunday than the rest of the week. So we'll be a week late to the MK!

Today and tomorrow are supposed to be record breaking heat!! Good thing thing the kids are not in school they would be getting out early!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I would take the heat over the snow any day!! After last winter. I say bring on the heat. Great day to hang out by the pool!!

I'm back in Tampa this week for work (where I've been all but 4 weeks of the year so far) and it's actually quite pleasant (for Tampa in July). But the record heat expected in the VA area has caused my son's baseball camp to move the start time on Thursday and Friday up to 8am trying to keep them out of the heat as much.

Has anyone noticed that bike rentals on Castaway Cay are "sold out" for either day or the two day special? Can't believe they'd run out of bikes to rent, even with the increase in people...

I saw it was sold out as well. We'd originally booked both the 2 day package and a Cabana for day 1, not knowing if we were going to keep the cabana (which includes all the rentals.) But now that the rentals are sold out for the 2nd stop as well, I've been hanging on to the 2day rentals in case we decide we want the bikes on the 2nd day. That may be a 3 day out decision.

I imagine it's somewhat hard to predict availability, since they don't require people to reserve a specific hour of a bike or float. So they can only pre-reserve as many bikes and floats as they have (accounting for helmets as well). There's always the possibility once you're on the island that you can still get a bike or float rental, since once someone has used their bike rental, that bike is technically available for someone else to rent. (Floats are easier - you can often just grab one that someone has abandoned after they stopped using it.)

To those of you who have been, or will be speaking with DCL regarding port arrival times: I have seen that although we have a time assigned to us to arrive that the computer will be generating the boarding number (not handed a number at arrival). So, do you think if our arrival time is 10:30-11 am and and we are assigned a low number but arrived later we'd be allowed to board quicker, thus reducing our wait time inside the terminal? I'm probably not asking that right. :confused3 I guess that would work if they enforced the computer boarding numbers, right? It's really the getting into the building that's making me most paranoid.:scared: Once I'm inside and checked in I don't mind waiting.

I noticed that and thought the same thing!

Can you purchase the "two day" packages on the ship I wonder?

I just looked and it was showing the extreme pacakge aavailable but none of the other ones with bikes.
