BIG HUGE Thank you to Kristin and Candy for the FE list organization!

I crunched some statistics for Group 1

There are 41 children. Age breakdowns as follows:
4-6yo - 5
7-10yo - 17
11-14yo - 12
15yo+ - 6

I have it by specific year as well but thought the groupings were more workable.

There are 23 pairs of adults with one cabin having 3 adults...making a grand total of 49 adults.

Hope this helps everyone w/ FE planning!

Here's the stats for group 2....
There are 37 Children. Age breakdown is as follows:
6 and under - 5
7-10 years - 14
11-14 years - 14
15 and up - 4
There are 24 Cabins total, 7 Cabins have no kids
There are 41 adults total.

Hey Candy -

Unfortunately it is still very cool here and we have rain on top of it all. I am hoping to have some warm weather though.

We have kind of boring plans: we need to do a long run (10-11 miles), we want to do some landscaping, we are going to see POTC 4 and if it warms up....we might plan to grill a meal out!

How about you?

I'm sorry about the weather Jen!! I have the opposite problem, The air conditioner has been off and on all day! LOL

We don't have alot planned. Tonight I am visiting a friend, tomorrow we will do work around the house and maybe see a movie. Not sure about the rest of the weekend.

I am getting requests for more to join. How does everyone feel about a third group being started?

Also, I am getting requests for people to switch groups. How does everyone feel about having the orginal lists being redone? We are at 25 at both list and now with specific requests coming in I can not make any changes without moving people around. Is everyone ok with that?

You have had to put in so much time making these groups and I feel bad if you have to do more work.

I would like to throw out the idea of having someone who wants to be in a different group -or- someone who wants to be added to the list take charge of the 3rd group. I think someone else should step up to do the 3rd group because you have put in your time.

If someone wants to start a 3rd group, new people could join that one as well as people who want to be moved around. This would leave the 1st and 2nd group fairly close to how you made them.

I just know from past cruises how much work it is to organize a FE and feel that you have done your part. If there are changes to be made at this point, I feel someone else should step up and help with it.

How do others feel?

I think with all the new requests that a third group is totally necessary. Is there someone willing to start the 3rd group and be the leader of that group?

Someone else needs to step up and help out because as I wrote earlier, it takes it a lot of work to coordinate it all.

Any volunteers?

I think if people who wanted to be switched leave group one and two so that they can be with who they want to be with and then anyone who was not on the list gets added, we will have 3 decent sized groups.

What ever you need to do is OK with me! A few more rooms wouldn't make that much difference, if you are up to doing it. Like Jen said it's a lot of work.

I just want to pipe in that I agree with Jen completely. Kristin and Candy have already put a lot of work into the two groups. We are very greatful and happy to be where we are. Our friends, the Grondins do not Dis-board a lot and are equally happy!

My only question, if people leave a group, how will that be communicated?

I agree. thanks!!! Whatever is easiest, i'm fine with. If you want to add a few rooms, that's fine or leave it alone.

Totally - lots of work has already been done.

I think that the lists should stay as they are at this point. If a 3rd group wants to start up, that would be great but someone else needs to take care of it. Kristin has already put in her time.

Kudos to Kristin for all of her hard work.

It would be a headache switching people around (I bet some people even started putting stuff in bags today!) so I say stick with the original lists. As for the idea of creating a third group b/c people missed the deadline, that sounds like a good solution but someone in that new group does need to organize it. That group might end up being smaller, but who knows? At the end of the day it will all be fun and "dreamy"!

Freaking cold up here! And the wind is whipping off the lake! But the sun was out today. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow, like 53 LOL, but it's supposed to rain. Gotta love late spring in Minnesota.

I agree a 3rd group is fine, but yes, someone else should manage that group. I don't really think the current lists should be any bigger though, but that is just my opinion.

Interrupting the FE discussion.... Finally some great "summer" weather here!! Unfortunately it also seems to have awoken the stink bugs though!! Saw the first of them hanging around today.

DD turned 7 today!! Party day tomorrow!

to your DD

To whoever wanted to change groups, just bring extra FE gifts with you and give them to whoever it was you wanted to. So you'll get to give to the family you wanted to anyway.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend on LI 78 and 79 on Saturday and Sunday and it's suppose to be 89 on Monday and 90 on Tuesday.
