I'm not sure what is going on with "other" threads, but I have really enjoyed this thread and hope it continues in the same way...

Jen, I'm sorry there seems to be some comments that have bothered. I have definitely appreciated all of the work you have done with the website and hope you continue with it.

Hello Everyone.

to all the new families that have joined us on this cruise.

Kristin - loved the pictures of the Dream. One question for you - with the consiege level rooms gated off - any idea how to deliver fish extender items?

Things have been crazy around here between cheerleading / games, dance, Shoveling snow off our roof and just life.

We are getting ready to go to WDW in 6 days - We just told our daughters and now the scramble is on for packing. We planned this trip a year ago. We are staying at the Wilderness lodge for the first time.


I hope everyone has a good day and I am going to try and go back and catch up on everyone.

Jen - My family truly appreciates the time & effort you put into maintaining the website and hope that you continue to do so. Yes, there are two other threads going (at least that I have seen), but I agree with you and hope that it will all resolve itself. How's that for sweet fakeness?!

Thanks guys! As I have always said, working on the website is enjoyable to me and I feel like on our last cruise it was part of the reason why I have friends who I feel will be my friends for many years to come. I am just feeling a bit torn about trying to figure out how to handle some of what is being posted. I really felt like cruises have one thread where people are welcome to get to know everyone. Maybe there are other cruises where groups keep to themselves and I just don't know about it. Again, I think my biggest problem is that some posts have offended people and I don't want to be the one who determines who should have access to the website or not. I feel a sincere sadness about the whole situation.

Thank you to everyone who has said kind things about the website though.

Like I said, we don't want to offend anyone ...it's just that posts on FB go into group, but also appear on your own pages and get some pretty odd comments from the rest of your friends who have no idea what all the disboards abbreviations mean...anyway, I will likely continue to cross post..

Chuck - I honestly appreciate your honesty and that you will be cross posting. I think the hardest part for me is that some feel like they are not welcome here and then post negative things about people on the main thread. That is where the problem really is. Please encourage people from your group to also come and post here some. I know that there is a feeling from some wondering why our cruise needs to have so many different threads and that we have ALWAYS tried to be open and welcoming.

Thanks for all that you have done on the website! I wasn't aware there were other threads for our cruise until tonight when I was getting caught up on this thread. I haven't read through all the posts on them, but I do hope that they feel free to post on this thread as well. Hopefully, it will work out.

We are doing Universal too! We are going the 12-15 and staying at the Hard Rock. We've been to Universal before, but it was before DS was born and we've never stayed onsite. Have you been over to the Universal thread? There is some good info over there. I've just started planning that part of the trip. What days are you going to be there? I think I remember reading that you are going to be there at the same time as us.

We arrive on the 13th, I have no reservations yet, I am really struggling with the cost! Have you found any discounts? I think HR would my kids hotel choice also.

Hi everyone,

I just thought I would drop in and say Hi,. My family and I are joing this cruise. I am so excited to sail the Dream, but am a bit wooried about the 5 days. That hardly seems like enough time.

We have done 6 cruises on the Magic (all 7 days or more) and will be sailing the Wonder for the first time this June in Alaska. Still planning everything there. The kids are excited to go back to Castaway Cay (been away for the last 3 cruises (MED, MR & Baltic).

Sailing with me will be my dad Jim, my husband Chris (Christopher Robin <-- real name I love it and I am such a Pooh fan) and my daughters Samantha & Allison (12 & 7 time of sailing).

I hope everyone is doing great especially with the cold fronts we have been having the last few weeks. Makes me want to set sail even sooner =).

And I'd love to hear about your MED and Baltic cruises - gosh, would love to do one of those!!! This is our first non-7 day cruise. But it's our third double dip so we're happy about that!

Janeanne, Jen and I (and our families) will be at the POP starting on the 24th. Will you still be there? The Princess is on the 27th - at 6AM . The route is from Epcot to Magic Kingdom (through the castle!) and then back to Epcot.
I've heard such wonderful things about the WL!!

Erika, I booked through AAA. I went ahead and did a package. It seemed that it would be a little cheaper to book things separately, but you wouldn't be able to get in the parks earlier (I think, I could be wrong!) they sell tickets at Costco too!
If you find any deals let me know! The rates were a little high. Most of the specials that I've seen them do are pay for 3/stay 5, but I haven't seen any for our dates yet!

From what I have read, you get early entry with any hotel on sight. My costco does not have the tickets, and we only need 2 days. The ticket prices I am OK with mostly, it's the nightly hotel rates!!! I may just call and ask if they have any AAA discounts, just to have something booked.

There is an interesting thread on the main board stating that the rest of the 2012 Fantasy have been released by DCL ... but it isn't on their website so you need to call them. Here are the stops and sail dates....

7 night Eastern with stops to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and CC on sail dates:Sep 8,22, Oct 2,20 and then stops at San Juan, St. Thomas and CC on Nov 3, 17, DEC 1, 15 and 29 of 2012
