last nite I was able to get our airline schedule set up. coming out of a small airport here in Texas (Abilene); we are just about required to go American Airlines unless we want several stopovers. this way we fly out of here to Dallas and then from there to orlando. The fares have been out of sight but we were able to get round trip from here to orlando and back for just under $1000 for all three of us.

Woo Hoo :dance3::dance3:

Just checking back in on this thread and I'm glad I did as I didn't realise about show times. Just checked and we've got 6pm dinner and 9pm shows which work out well for us.

We had a 5 week vacation in Florida over the summer that included stays at BLT, OKW, Vero the Contemporary and our 2nd Disney cruise which was a 4 night one. We got to experience a sea day and a Palo brunch which we'd not done before. I was a bit sea sick on our sea day but will make sure I'll take some Dramine on our Dream cruise. Palo brunch was lovely and here's a couple of pictures to keep everyone going until August :goodvibes

Most of our plans are in place for next summer, we staying for 5 weeks again have have booked 2 weeks in a private villa, 15 nights at BLT, the cruise and then our last two nights at the Contemporary. We'll probably head down to Vero for a few nights while we're at the villa.

I'm getting really excited about the cruise and have just spent the afternoon reading some trip reports and searching for "Martini tasting" as that's something I want to try as I enjoyed the ones I had on the last cruise

Congratulations on all the anniversaries, there must be something in the air as it was our 22nd last week

All we need to do now is to get the countdown to go faster :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary!

Sounds like you had a wonderful summer.

I am looking forward to this cruise too. I figure time will go by fast once the holidays start approaching. Plus, I am hoping, people will start chatting more once the cruise gets closer.

I cannot wait to do Palo brunch again. I am hoping to be able to book it for this cruise. I was not able to book it for my last cruise. Your pictures bring back memories.

Happy Anniversary!

Thanks :goodvibes

We did, we love visiting Florida / WDW, it's such a great family time together with lots of special memories

I think so too for us, once Christmas is over it's like the run up to when the kids finish school and then summer vacation

We really enjoyed it, we had Histro as our server and he was fantastic and really put us at ease. He was attentive but without being overbearing IYKWIM. We're hoping to try and get a brunch as well although with this cruise being so busy, all the slots might go before we can get to book. If that happens we'll try and book on board

Woohoo!:cool1: I wish it was closer though! Time will go by faster after the holidays! Of course, in 65 (or so) days, it will be the week before Christmas and I will be atthe World!!!!:cool1: I can't wait, but I've got a lot to do before then.

Sounds like you had a great summer vacation or should I say holiday!:) The Palo brunch looks good! Maybe DH and I will get to go try it this time. We've never made it to Palo!
That's cool that you get to have another 5 week vacation next summer!
Congrats on your anniversary as well! Oct. is a popular month!
Usually we are a more chatty bunch, but I guess life has kept us all busy lately!

Our 20th anniversary was September 1st, we spent it at WDW. Nice to see so many long time married folks in one place!!! Seems that aren't that many of us anymore.

Sure wish it was next August, need a vacation!! Of course I haven't even begun to plan anything yet for the cruise to it's best I have some time I guess.

Congrats on your anniv! It is nice to see so many of us have been married for awhile!
I wish it was Aug. too!:) I haven't made any plans yet either. I think we are going to stay at Country Inn and Suites the night before the cruise. DS wants to go to Universal, so maybe we will go there for a day or two. Of course I want to go to the parks too. I know some people are going to go to Vero Beach before the cruise...that would be fun too. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Erika, did you get any Dooneys while your were at the world?

Why yes, as a matter of fact I did...:). I got a yellow sketch letter carrier (which I love, but it is almost too small, it barely fits anything) and a black wonder tassel tote. It's adorable also, but I haven't used it yet. I don't like that's it's unlined though, or the interior pockets because of that. But we'll see once I use it.

I think we are staying at Universal for the weekend before the cruise.

CONGRATS, on booking your flights DON!!

We are @ OKW right now!! The weather is PERFECT!! I love WDW!!:thumbsup2:cool1:

Hope you are having a great time. How is Old Key West = ever stay there before?

Hi Janeanne,

This is our second time @ OKW. We stayed here in Feb. for a long weekend for the girls 7th Birthday Trip..The rooms are HUGE!! The points are low so it is a great place to go. We do love SSR better. But OKW is great for the space, and it is such a relaxed feel here. I can't wait to come back here and stay in a newly renovated room. The pool, is not crowded at all, which has been GREAT and the kids have loved going to Community Hall and doing crafts, and games. OKW,, reminds me a lot of Vero Beach, with the relaxed feel to it and all.. I think you guys would like it here!!:thumbsup2:)

OKW remains our favorite - for many of the reasons you state! Are you sad you're going to miss the nor'easter brewing up here?!

I know you are having fun. I am so jealous. ;) I have not stayed at OKW yet but it is on my list of places to stay. Maybe in 2012.

Kristin - thanks for that feedback. Can't wait to try that one.

Watched the miner rescue last night - it was soooo moving. I hope those men will be able to live a semi normal life now without too many side effects from being down there for so longl :) To me this was a true sucess story for people working together from all nations, what positive energy can do, and just the will of humans.

Janeanne
