first of all...welcome, Chris & sister! and we're glad that all your family will be joining us!

someone mentioned that their kids love those dancing bananas. so do my DSs! everytime i'm on, they want to see them, and they laugh & laugh...they think it's the funniest thing!!!!! and they were tripping out on the purple bat thing that was new, but i don't know what happened to that?

i'm going to label the mickey tags. and i'm using alohatee's list. i noticed that there are 16 families...and i know some of you have brother/sister/aunt/other family members, that were contributing to the goodie bag thing...not sure if they were on Arlene's list, as "numbered". i know people have been posting about that...so as soon as i get the next one here, that's the list i'm going on! so Arlene, please post your newest/updated list, when you can.

Katie, i'm sure you're packed already, since i think you're the one leaving the earliest? i'm done w/myself & DH! except for the hanging suit case thing...(for the life of me, couldn't think what that is called!!!!! a senior moment! my mind is so filled w/all this cruise stuff, i have no more room for anything else!!) and we're set!

Not sure if we're on the "goody bag" list or not. I might not have sent the message correctly. I would like to contribute to the bags if it's still possible. Thought I would make chocolate covered oreo cookies with the Mickey Mouse icon on top. Would that work? How many bags are we making? Do I just bring the goodies pre-bagged to the 3:00 meeting? CMIC6556 (my brother) sent our numbers but no names. Thought everyone might like to know that we do have names.

i'm the same here about meeting new people. but this is kinda "different", cuz we've been talking/getting to know one another, and we're all on this very excitig once in a life time kinda vacation! like i said, it's like meeting a new pen pal! from all over the place!!!!! it'll be fun!

i know what you mean about everything going smoothly, but thinking you're forgetting something! or not thinking about it, and yikes!!!!! (remember my legoland fiasco??!!) the other day, a "thought" occured in my head, that what if i had forgotten something...like "important" papers...what would i do? have to have my brother take me back home!!!! and that scared me!! don't even want to think about it! wouldn't want to miss the boat!

Kellie...wow, you're MAKING those cookies? you are way ambitious than me!!!!!! sounds yummy. Arlene (the one who made the list...the "organizer" of this whole goodie bag thing) said we should bring enough for 20...but on her list, there were 16...let me scroll down & check...and it seems like you are listed under your brother. when Arlene (alohatee) gets online, she'll post an updated list, and i'm sure she'd put your family separately, as soon as she sees your post. she's good at making those updates! so we'll all wait for her, i guess. like i said, i'm not labeling till i get her updated list! so i'm just browsing here!!!

(if we're aiming for 1000 posts! and as for 100 pages, we've got 40+, i think! keep them coming!!!!! but of course, it's that much harder, the more closer we get...cuz there seems to be so much "last minute" things that needs to be done, and people are starting to go/leave...

Welcome and it is never too late to join in the celebration. As Lilo would put it - We are OHANA - Ohana means family and nobody gets left out......
Once I get some quiet time tonite - I will post the most current list and update whose bringing what . We might increase the goodie gift bags to 25 just to be sure. Any extras, we can have the kids do a raffle.

It is awesome and exciting to see more people coming on board - this cruise is gonna have the best group ever ]

WOW - i;ve been away (more volunteer hours at the Strawberry Festival today) for a few hours and look how many more posts there have been!!! We will definitely hit the 1000 postings before we sail!

I'm looking at what all else i need to pack and i'm just wondering....can i get all those shoes and toiletries and my bottled water in just these last two suitcases???? i may have to take a larger bag for one of them...YIKES!!! I know DS has way more than enough clothes...but better to be overprepared - i don't want to spend too much time at the laundry !!!

i just know i'm going to forget things too....DS & I thought of a few more things today we need to get and pack - and do you even think i can remember what they are so i can at least add them to my list??? Photo tape is all i can remember!!!! Are we supposed to be having 'senior moments' already????
I also thought today that i haven't bought any of his school supplies yet other than buying and ordering books he needed - (YIKES what HS books go for these days)....but, i guess all that will just wait till we get back.....

I just thought of another good packing idea. Put your socks inside you shoes. Then when you get to where you are going you already know where those darn socks are.

Also I told my sisters that they may want to bring along a small umbrella. You can use it for shade and also in case it showers. It does shower in the afternoons in Mexico sometime. This was the case when we went to PV a few years ago.

We are bringing a duffle bag along for the shoes and flip flops. Remember to pack an extra small bag to stuff with all the tshirt and other stuff we all end up buying along the way.

thanks Doc for the 'showers' info - didn't even think about any rainfall....looking forward to some of those movies too!! we lovE to watch movies too...after Strawberry festival today, we went to see Fantastic 4 - it was really good!!!

We are not all from Covina. Chris and his family are from Covina. The anniversary couple, our parents, are from Temple City, CA. My husband Lee, Lexie and I live in La Canada, CA and my brother Scott and his family live in Riverton, Utah.

Hey, thought of a good idea for the kids, (maybe someone has already mentioned it in previous talks). We bought little address books for all the kids so they can get the addresses of new friends. I'm going to supply Lexie with some of my preprinted return address labels so if a new friend wants her address, she can just stick a return address label in their address book. Even though she knows all this info, it's hard for the little ones to write so small.

Also thought I'd mention that I found a pop up hamper at Bed, Bath and Beyond today. It folds to the size of a salad plate and pops up to a full size hamper. GREAT for travel of any kind.

DL was nice today, a slight breeze in the morning and not too crowded first thing.

DS (the older one) collects big figs and we got the anniversary castle today!!! It is SO beautiful!

I had seen them on ebay on almost overpaid, think they were sold out, but they aren't at all - in case anyone else is looking for one.

Have to go out of town tomorrow for work, back wednesday night (ugh), wish I could spend the whole week getting ready for the cruise!

Well how nice that you're having this great 'reunion'. My 3 sisters and I are trying to plan a Dis cruise for 2007 - and are hoping that our Mother will go as well. My DH refuses to try a cruise so not sure how my DBIL's will feel about that....but hope they will go anyway as well as all the kids....even tho some are already 'adults'

oh, before i forget! at dl, they have these name tag things, like the ones cms wear, with their names on them? and you can purchase them. maybe some of you already have them, or know what i'm talking about! they're like thick plastic! and it comes in red, w/mickey mouse, and it says "guest of honor" on it, along w/disneyland resort. and you can have them personalize it w/your name! it's really cute! (they also have them in pink, for the girls, and i think they were princess, maybe? didn't pay attention to those much, no need for us...) anyways, they're only $5 each! and they sell them at the gift shop right as you walk out, the gift shop on the left hand side. (not the right hand side one! cuz there's 2 gift shops on your way out). yes, i got our boys one, each w/their names on it. it's hanging/pinned on their lanyard! a cute little souvenir for those who are traveling from far, and need to purchase "something small" for friends/co-workers/whoever back home! or even for yourselves/your children!
