Two Week, Two Weeks! :bounce:

I just got all of my check-in stuff done. One more person to call to get the transfers in order. Also, stateroom gifts did go through. You would think with how technologically advanced Disney is that the stateroom gifts would be able to be ordered online and you would get a confirmation.

Got our (new) cabin room numbers today, and updated our info on the FE list.
Last weekend, we took an opportunity to upgrade, if we did a guarantee. Ended up with a 3 category upgrade from the guarantee category. They even kept us with connecting rooms (and verandas :) ) with the grandparents...yippee!

Got jealous of everyone's upgrades so I called the TA today. We're going to get a different room as well... Will update the FE list when we have the new number :) LOVE this boards - would have never thought to call and ask if I didn't see all of you getting the stateroom pixie dust!

I started my FE gifts months ago so I wouldn't be stressed down to the wire... And what do you know, now I'm trying to figure out when I'll finish them! I'm the queen of good intentions that end in procrastination :)

Anyone planning on doing the Mixology class? We were thinking it sounded like fun.

Can't believe we're down to 2 weeks!!!

I think I am your twin!!! My youngest daughter calls us Team Procrastination:thumbsup2

Just found out I got an upgrade!! Yay!

Our room has been changed to 7666. I updated this on the FE list.

I was not informed of this change, so if you haven't checked your reservation lately, it might be worth doing.

Are upgrades something you pay for? Are the room categories cheaper now than when normal booking? :confused3

I think that varies. From what I understand, if a ship is not full, Disney will often have an easier time selling less expensive staterooms, and they may upgrade those who have already booked in order to open up those rooms. It is a way to reward those who book early, instead of giving cheaper fares to latecomers. Some people also make a reservation without having a specific stateroom. They will be guaranteed a specific category or higher, so those individuals may get an upgrade. In either of these cases, the upgrade is at no charge to the passenger.

But, I think you can also request an upgrade when they are available. I read somewhere that if you get to port and ask what it would cost to upgrade, you can sometimes get really good rates.

Having said all this, I am definitely not an expert. I am only making some inferences based on what I have read.

Sounds right from my understanding, as well.

I am so happy, the rooms were just assigned. If you are waiting on your assignments, log in and check now, they should be there.

We got 2 connecting verandah rooms on the 9th Deck. (5A). I am so happy about this. I did NOT want the 10th floor because I did not want to hear 1000 kids running around on deck on top of us. I also didn't want the 5th floor aft because of the night club noise at night.

So happy I just don't know what to do. It's like Christmas. :santa: :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Adult only FE gifts done! Hope you all enjoy the treat! :)
