Aug/Sept free dining

Disney has offered the free dining plan, the last few years, I am just wondering if anyone remembers the approximate date they release the dates. I am trying to plan a vacation, before my daughter goes back to college.

LOL...we have a trip planned to Punta Cana, DR, during the summer before my dd goes off to college (she will be a freshmen) but I planned a trip the end of August after we have dropped her off to make me feel better (although using it too as my ds's 8th grade graduation trip LOL).

They first started offering it in 2006 so this would be the 7th year if they offer it so I'm hoping they will!!

That link Marionnette posted is great. We're planning on booking our stay using a 10% off code we got because our dates are non-negotiable. If free dining comes out, we'll replace the 10% off with the free dining

I love the free dining, but we will go regardless.
We need to sign up for vacation in Feb. so need to plan our days.

Because mid August through September is hurricane season and a traditionally slower time for WDW, I would hope that they will still have a free dining offer for this time frame. I called WDW travel yesterday and the CM I spoke to said that promotions for this time frame should be released to the public in a few months, but she said she didn't know if it will be free dining or not.

We have been getting "free dining" since 2007 and last couple of times we missed it but now we are DVC members. Our points are used up for this year and IF we plan on going back, it will be for September. Typical the "free dining" comes back is announced in March.

I called a few days ago and asked if there was a PIN in my name, ( there wasn't )

But anyways, he asked when were we thinking about going.

Me : June
CM: oh, you didn't want to go when we have discounts ?
Me : Well, of course, I love discounts, hence why I'm calling
CM : Well, is there another time you were thinking about coming ?
Me : Yeah, we'd come in Sept, but we would be counting on free dining
CM : Well we've had free dining in Sept for the last 5 years, and I haven't heard of any plans to change that

We booked FD for Aug. 2012 during our August 2011 FD trip so I would think that would be a good sign they are going to do it again.
