Aug/Sept dates question

We are planning on going 8/24-9/1. The last 3 days being LD weekend. UG says that LD weekend will be lighter than the rest of the week, but this seems odd. I was thinking of changing dates to 8/21-8/29 to avoid this weekend, but that doesn't gel with UG predictions. I already have my ADRs but don't want to be swamped our last few days. Any thoughts? Thanks.

8/24 is the start of free dining. It may be tough to get a room at this point, or you could find it's the deal of a lifetime.

I have no experience here, but I do know that some schools, in NY anyway, go back right after Labor Day. (Teachers Tues, kids Wednesday is the norm.) SO it's possible that things will quiet down a bit, but I'm guessing that free dining pretty much cancels out that that idea.

Book your dates, get free dining, and deal with the crowds. But be sure to make your ADRS immediately; that may be the larger concern.

We were in Disney for Labor Day weekend (and free dining) two years ago. We found the Parks crowded on Saturday & Sunday but not as bad on Monday. We week before was moderate. Last year we were only there the week before, left on Friday. This year we will be there 8/23 thru 9/2. With some flexibility and fastpass, the crowds are usually manageable, even with free dining.

and have the Poly already booked. I was mainly surprised that the UG said that LD weekend would be lighter than the rest of the week before hand, but most people are saying that it is more crowded? I think I can get the days before added on without a problem, and I already have my ADRs booked for the 24th on. Would the UG change after FD came out?
