I had been planning this trip for about 5 months, and felt so relieved that the trip was
finally here and that I could quit planning.
We had an uneventful trip from Ajo to Phoenix. We arrived in plenty of time at the airport, as we walked to our gate DD was carrying her stuffed Minnie, she was asked by a passing pilot if she was going to Disneyland, She said "NOOOO, Disney WORLD" We were finally on our way!!! The flight took about 4 1/2 hours, I was so happy to have a non-stop flight, it made things so much quicker. We arrived at MCO about 7:30 pm. While DD and DH went to get the luggage I ran over to Nationals Emeral Asles to pick out our car - Found a very nice full size Chevy Lumina, I took the keys and locked it up, ran back just as DH had finnished getting all the luggage, and we headed to the car. Just as we finnished loading the car I looked up and realized that I was on the wrong side of the E/A (on the full size asle) bummer...So I went over one asle to the EMERALD asle, and found the exact same car there, got it loaded and then realized DH had locked the first car up.... with the keys inside, and with DD's Minnie in the back seat... Bummer again. Things weren't going as smoothly as I had planned... Oh Well, It took about 15 minutes for someone to come with keys to open the car to rescue Minnie. Finally we were on our way.
We arrived at the All-Stars Music and check in was a breeze, about 10 minutes ( I was relieved because I had read about some people taking more than an hour!) We took our overnight bag to our room - we had only paid $55 for the room and we were olny staying 1 night. We thought for the price the place was great!. The room was a little small, but comfy and clean, with a nice theme. A few minutes later we were on our way to DTD for dinner.
We arrived at the House of Blues at about 9:30 pm We were seated right away and they were not very busy. I had the Voodo Shrimp, DH had catfish nuggets - DD had cheese pizza. We finished the meal by sharing a bread pudding that was really good. We thought everything was good, but the Voodo shrimp was Great!. after the meal we walked around DTD for a while then headed back to the ASMu and to bed.
Tomorrow plans include, Character Breakfast at Ohana, checking into the Polynesian, Typhoon Lagoon, and Dinner at the Rose and Crown for Illuminations......
