MouseEarVacations (Tim Larison) says we should be hearing something whenit comes time for the August 7th sailing to open up the pocketbooks. He'll probably email me what they tell him, so when I know I'll post it up.

Andy,

Thanks for the postcards, the kids loved them.

Thanks for letting me know they arrived, and that they were a big hit with the kids!!!

Hello All! I think this is the first weekend I don't have to fly somewhere or work. Yey! We have a faculty/staff/student softball game this afternoon - this should be interesting! Tough when the mind still thinks our bodies are younger than they are!! Been spending my evenings doing research on pianos as DD starts lessons this fall. I think I've narrowed it down so I don't have to play/listen to every piano available this weekend! :smooth: Hey Denise - did you decide on and get your digital camera?

As of late Tuesday afternoon (before the DCL server was taken down for overhaul), DCL did not have finalized itineraries or excursions for the special Eastern cruises. Welcome Reignman and ShyGirl! Hang in there Andy!!! Take care and have a great weekend everyone!

Our softball game did not go well yesterday. The Dean pulled a hamstring (he didn't plan on coming, but the students BEGGED him). Then one of the staff broke her leg running home (she was safe). The ground around home plate was not in great shape and her foot got caught in the ditch. It was pretty awful and it sounded worse! She broke her leg right above the ankle. One of the students called 911; we had ~25 med students stand around and watch while the EMTs did all the work.

I hope you are all having a safe and fun weekend!

What a horrible thing to happen. Especially at the beginning of the summer (having to wear a cast all summer long).

It's a wonder you made it out unscathed yourself Sarah. I guess there were no real "winners" in the game.

Andy - I will keep a lookout for the t-shirts, thanks so much. I will paypal you soon.

Hope everyone is doing well. Getting closer and closer...

Alan

I'm such a klutz that it was a good thing that I was late getting there. By then, everyone was divvied up into teams. :teeth: Yes, I did plan it that way! We'll find out how everyone fared tomorrow. Decided to spend a few hours at work today to get a head start for the week (since I was woken up by a call from the campus police this morning - one of the students set off the alarms EARLY!). :yo-yo:

Sarah,

I have pretty much narrowed down the choice for camera. I will probably go with the KonicaMinolta Z2, its the best not SLR for what I want, I actually should be using a digital SLR but I don't have the know how or the time to use it properly. I am hoping to get the camera before we cruise but I also havene't had the time to gp find it. With the new house and the kids playing baseball/softball my free time is pretty non-existent!!

I am glad you didn't hurt yourselfplaying ball. My DH plaed in a coaches softball game on Sunday and was acting like a 12 year old, he even dove to stop a ball while playing short stop! Yes, he was SORE yesterday!!

OK - back just in time to see that you procrastinated your way out of that softball game Sarah!! (perhaps a good thing?). Showing up late huh???? Why, when I picture it in my mind you playing softball and protecting those nails do I just want to start giggling???? (at least they aren't orange - inside joke from last year's cruise!!)

We just found out that Angelina's friend Trish will not be able to make this years cruise. In her place will be my mom Vi. My mom cruised with us last year and loved it, she is very excited to be joining us again this August. I just added my mom's photo in the cruise list photo gallery on my website.

Andy,
I hope Angelina is not to disappointed. I am sure your mom will make a great addition to our merry band.

Andy -

Our thanks as well for the card and magnets (we already put them up on the refrigerator!). What a MAGICAL surprise that was to receive in the mail. You're the best!!!

I would have sent them out to you sooner, but I didn't have your address until last week. I'm glad it brought a MAGICal surprise your way!!! :wave2:

Scott, Scott, Scott!! I'm not the one with orange nails! Can we say mystic tan on unprotected toenails? :rotfl: Actually, I have very short nails because I've been "testing" various pianos. I think I've settled on a Yamaha U3 or U5 (depending on how the price negotiations go). Yes, I know - you feel sorry for the poor salesmen! :teeth:

Denise: congrats on finding a camera! Now is probably a good time to look for it since they will most likely have sales for graduation and father's day!

I received a phone call today from our travel agent for the final payment for this cruise. It really made this sailing a reality for me! Now I'm anxiously waiting for the cruise itinerary so I can start booking our excursions!

The 60 day mark will be here before we know it!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc ::yes:: :hyper: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I called DCL again today, and they STILL can't get my baby (will be 6 mos at time of sailing) onto the cruise. At least I finally got a NICE CM who is going to check for me every a.m.!!!! I just can't accept the fact that we may not be able to sail this summer. And we got such a GOOD rate booking on board last summer. I ran into Donna, the woman who books on board (at MH homecoming last week) and she said she'd see if there was anything that could be done. I can't believe this!!!!
