I always take a sweatshirt or hoodie and a pair of capris or longer pants with me. It doesn't matter where we go. If I don't have them with me, that's when I'll need them the most. I always have a sweatshirt or hoodie on the plane because I'm usually cold, too.
Thanks Tess! That's what I was thinking - but then I am a bit worried that I will get to FL and just melt instantly... Then all of this planning will be for nothing.

But I am always so cold when I fly... So, I guess I better dress warmly.
I had to LOL at Alli a few days ago... She goes "Mom, you know how you always tell us to dress comfortably and in layers on the plane? Well, this time, I am going to dress however I want..." Um... OK... I have a feeling this plane trip will be a learning lesson for her.
Yup...just one harmless little quote...that is how it all starts! LOL
Nnini
Hahaha...
I think it's always wise to have at least one long sleeved something and a longer pair of pants.
I think you are right - but it's FL in Aug, so I was starting to second guess myself.
And it just hit me...if you book before you leave WDW, you might get to use a bounce back offer.
That's the plan! I have enough saved in GCs, and I will have them with me, so I am prepared to book a trip before I leave if there is a good BB, otherwise, my wonderful TA gave me a quote with the military prices - so I will book that way, since that seems to be the second best offer out there.
and my exciting news: I FINISHED A SEWING PROJECT LAST NIGHT
Admittedly, it's just Sew Spoiled's free Pouch Cubed, so it was straight from cut to complete last night, but it's finished and I got to sew!! I also found the camera, so I'll probably post some pictures on the disboutique thread later this evening or tomorrow.
That is AWESOME!!!! I will head over there this mornign to see if you've posted.
Sometimes you just have to take a break...I would have gotten to that point last night if the pouch was any more complicated - but that's because I was stubborn. I needed to change the needle but just wanted to finish something so I didn't. So my machine started acting up - of course.
Figures... That's why I stopped the night before... I broke a needle. It was my own fault, really, but still...
Good luck with everything and I can't wait to see your bag. Your RL conversation sounds like DH - he's always trying to get me to make myself something because I'm always making things for others.
LOL - Yes, Josh is the same way. It annoys him a lot that I don't carry one of my own bags.
Now there's a bag that's just begging for an Autograph. Lucky person who got this one!
I know - that's what I was thinking... I nice huge "Mickey Mouse" on that front panel, it would be awesome!
LOVE THE BAG!! Now, that is the custom one right?
Yes, that was a custom order.
When I was wait trying to think of what type of bag I would request if I ever made the list. I never even thought of a simple Mickey bag. But THAT is so awesome. I was thinking more personal to me. Something to remind me of when my children were young. But, I just love this bag!!! good choice by whoever picked it.!
Wonderful way to make Mickey unique! Love it D~
I agree... Sometimes just a nice Mickey bag is perfect! It just speaks "Disney"... And I love that.
absolutely love this bag.........Just love the mouse. You do such a wonderfull job
Thank you so much!
LOVE this one! It makes me wish I could wear a larger bag like this!
Each bag you make I always think you have out done yourself and this is the best you could possibly ever do...and each time you prove me wrong! Fantastic!
Nini
Awww... Thank you Nini - that means so much coming from you!
Love the Mickey messenger! The cartoony fabric no the inside just makes me smile!
Thanks! I love it too! I just love how it all looks when put together.
Okay this bag is totally fabulous.
I always wear a long sleeve on the plane with capris. I am always cold
Thanks Chiara! I always have in the past too - but I am just worried that when I get there, it will be soooo hot...

I am going to try to keep my eyes open for a white hoodie over the next few weeks - hopefully I can find a cheap one to wear on the flight.
Love the bag. Think I need to place a custom order!
Thank you so much Sheila!!! It's great to see you!
Love the Mickey bag. (pouts I want one!!!!)
Changing the subject...found this on the Theme Parks thread. Would you take advantage of this next month? Or are you going home too late?
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3147841
This is very interesting - thanks for posting it! Unfortunately, I think our flight leaves too early in the day to take advantage. Besides, even if we could do it, I don't know if I could get us all packed up and checked out in time to get to DTD on top of that. LOL remember... Teen-aged girls in tow...

LOL
Just been tired. Really trying to get as much sleep as possible so I'm not staying up as late as usual. Tonight is a little off day because we went to our local theme park and came home and took a nap. I figured we'd take about a 2 hour nap but that actually turned into a 4 hour nap!!! I guess we were all more tired that I realized!! Now I of course can't sleep and have another busy day tomorrow. We have a friend's birthday party noon and then going to dinner at 5:30 pm for my brother in law's birthday. I'm so ready for this next week to be over (swim lessons and play dates) so I'll have 3 weeks to get us ready for school and I'll get to sleep. Well as much as the kids will let me anyways!!
I am glad you are resting... Sounds like you had a fun and exhausting day yesterday. And it sounds like you have a crazy week coming up...
Love the new Mickey bag!! So simple but so nice!!
Another great group of pictures!!
Thanks Sandra!

My family has been so nice to me these last few weeks (months) with letting me work every day in my sewing room... I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I can't wait!
As you know, yesterday I finished my custom order bag set... I was so happy to get that one done... It was a lot more work than normal, because the messenger is a bigger bag, and then to quilt it on top of that... but it just turned out so marvelous - I won't complain at all about the extra work involved. Now I just hope the person who ordered it, loves it.
V's bag: Yesterday afternoon, I went back to work on V's bag... Once we figured out what we were doing under the flap, everything kind of came together for the bag... It's going to be fun! So, my project for yesterday afternoon was to get the words printed on the bag pieces... Having this machine with the little hoop has been a pain in my a$$ for all these phrases... It means tons of time rehooping and crossing my fingers hoping I got it right. I did figure out one little life saver, which helped a lot... This machine lets me rotate the orientation of the hoop - so I have the longer portion to write inside, rather than the short portion. Had I actually READ the manual months ago, instead of just diving in, I would have learned this earlier.

Anyways - one of my hoopings was a hair off... If it was a custom order - I would redo it, but since it's V's, I am going to make her live with it. LOL Have I ever told you all that my girls are the most picky about my stuff... They will be the first to tell me if something is "off"... LOL. However... back to V's bag... She also has a phrase on the pocket portion, it turned out great, but I either need to somehow make it bigger, or do it in another color - which means I would have to requilt that piece... I will talk to V when she wakes this morning to see what she thinks... I think I could also "trace" around it with a straight stitch, so the letters stick out a bit more. The problem is, I did the writing in the same color as the dots on her bag, and I couldn't get the font any bigger - so it really blends... I need to do something to enhance it more
Does anyone have any ideas for me?
I also got her applique for under the flap drawn and ready to cut out... I hope to get that pieced today and most of it (if not all of it) stitched. Which means, I could potentially assemble her bag tomorrow and finish it... By Tuesday morning for sure.
As I was laying in bed this morning, awake - as I normally do... My eyes flew open when I realized
we leave 3 WEEKS from THIS Tuesday!!!!!!!
So, I started going over in my head, everything I need to do yet and a time schedule to make it happen... It's going to be soooo close!
If I finish V's bag by Tuesday... And I go right to work on my first bag... I should have it finished by Saturday. Then I can cut and quilt my 2nd bag on Sunday. I have a custom order that week, so I will have to fit my applique in around my custom order schedule - but I think it can be done. It is my hope that I will be able to finish my bag by the end of that week. I cannot work that weekend, because the girls and I are going out of town. The following week, I am hoping to do a bag set for my auction taking place that Thursday, and later in the week, I hope to cut and quilt my final bag for myself... I am kind of excited about this bag, I drew it up yesterday... Yes, it means I will have to draft a new pattern in there somewhere too...

So, this brings me up to Saturday that week (I think...)... On Sunday, the girls and I are going with my neighbor to get our nails done. On Monday.... I may or may not have time to do some accessories for the girls and I... But most of this day will be devoted to insuring we are packed and our luggage is brought down stairs. And that's it... It's gonna be close - I have said that over and over...
Crazy!
