Attractions long gone but missed

I was not much into the movie 20,000 leagues under the sea but though the original submarine ride was better than the current Nemo one.

Actually the DL subs were never themed to 20,000 Leagues, that is just WDW. Because it was "Tomorrowland" and DL's Tomorrowland was themed to the future it was themed to the future of nuclear powered ships and it was a tribute to the USS Nautilus voyage under the polar ice cap so it included that as a big part of the show.

Adventures in Inner Space freaked me out!!! That giant eyeball looking at you!!! Peoplemover was that wonderful relaxing ride you could get on when your feet hurt or you were hot!

Thanks, GoBears. It has been so many years I didn't remember specifics just that I (think) preferred the old version.

I miss the old CA. The California letters, the rides, and the fact that nobody liked it so you could go there all by yourself and have absolutely no crowds. And my husband desperately misses the Maliboomer.

I remember playing on Tom Sawyer's Island, with full access to the Fort.
The sky baskets were a nice way to cross the park. Going through the Matterhorn was special.

Oh how things have changed from opening day.

I miss the skyway, the people mover, and the rocket rods! All of these attractions I was explaining to my teenage daughter and she thought they all sounded fun :)

MSEP, Country Bears, and People Movers. I would love if People Movers was re-invented. I don't think the original would do so well anymore, but some new, innovative ride that pays tribute to it in some small way would be awesome...or just get rid of the old broken tracks at least so I'm not reminded of it missing anymore.

The People Mover! And Country Bears- although the Winnie the Pooh ride is so cute and my girls love it.

I miss the Sky buckets, The Chicken of the Sea ship, Tahitian Terrace, and most of all...the Flying Saucers!

I don't miss the ticket books at all except that it was a lot cheaper to go to DL when they were around.
