If you've never been to a theme park or a space centre, Orlando is the place to catch up on what you've missed.

Theme parks
Anyone will tell you that the theme parks in Orlando are by far the most popular and exciting attractions the city has to offer. People come from all over the world to ride the famous rides, take pictures with Disney characters and revel in the parks' magical wonderlands. The undisputed champion of the numerous entertainment attractions in Orlando is the Walt Disney World Resort. Here you'll find four separate theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park where you encounter all your favourite Disney characters like Goofy, Snow White and Cinderella; Epcot, the entertainment centre dedicated to science and technology and where you can sample traditional from 11 different countries; Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, a park built around the theme of fantastic animals; and Disney's Holloywood Studios where all the magic of the Disney movies happens. There are hundreds of activities contstantly on the go for children of all ages.

Universal Orlando Resort
Still more theme parks than you can handle... Universal Orlando Resort's Islands of Adventure is all built around five islands where all your favourite comic-book characters, legends and children's-story heroes are immortalised in thrilling rides and adventure trips. Go on the Jurassic Park River Adventure, Popeye and Bluto Bilge-eye Barges or live some of the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman on the Marvel Super Hero Island. Universal Studios Florida is the real thing, the very studios in which blockbuster movies and world-famous television shows are recorded. Watch incredible 4D movies and marvel at the screen through the simulator rides. Enjoy the late-night entertainment along the Universal City Walk, where you'll find a bevy of nightclubs and restaurants to cater to your tastes and preferences.

Sea World and Busch Gardens
You've heard it referenced on television and in hundreds of movies, so do yourself a service and visit the world-famous Sea World. With a host of aquatic shows scheduled every day of the week, it's the perfect mix of entertainment and education for both adults and children. Meet the stars of the shows: the dolphins, seals and the iconic Orca whale, Shamu. Go on the rides like the Wild Arctic Ride, Manta and the Journey to Atlantis. Sea World offers a variety of exhibits where visitors can get close to penguins, dolphins, manatees, turtles and seals. You can easily spend an entire day at Sea World: catch a meal at one of the nine restaurants on site.
Things to do in Orlando

Ripley's Believe It ot Not Museum: The Orlando Odditorium
Believe it or not, there's actually a museum dedicated to the cult television show that see human beings doing the most impossible things. Actually, the one in Orlando is one of 27 worldwide. The building itself is pretty impossible: it looks as one end of it being dragged into the ground, as if by quicksand - exactly what you'd expect from Ripley's. See amazing things like Cornel Biereng's self-portrait made entirely of Van Gogh paintings (replicas, of course) and the Matchstick Rolls Royce made of over one million matchsticks.

Kennedy Space Center
Now where else can you go to experience the rush of being launched into space? The Kennedy Space Center is any space enthusiast's wonderland. Tours are guided by veteran astronauts and take visitors through what goes into planning and executing a mission into space. The Shuttle Launch Experience provides a realistic simulation of an actual launch. Take a tour through NASA's Space Shuttle Programme and get close to the real launching pads. Experience the sights and sounds of the real thing in one of the two IMAX theatres and get a close look at the Hubble telescope.
