We are taking our 5 month old in a couple of weeks and i wondered which attractions were suitable for babies. I worrythat she's going to scream and ruin everyone else's enjoyment.

Thanks verity. xxx

We went into the magic kingdom when our daughter was 6 months old. We went on pirates of the caribbean (hang on to your baby tight at one point because there is a small dip), Dumbo, Pooh, A Small World, Snow White, Peter Pan, the carousel, the railroad, Buzz Lightyear, Tommorrowland Transportation Authority, the haunted mansion, the jungle cruise.....dont worry, there are plenty that you will be able to take your baby on! :thumbsup2

We'll be there, too, with OUR five month old! Where are you staying?

Our DS will turn five months old on 5/20, and we'll be there from 5/19-5/27! Maybe we'll see you there!

Have a great time!

Hi There-

Our younger dd went for the first time at 7mos. Being that we had our 5 yr. old dd with us as well we guaged the baby's mood before each ride. If she was getting cranky only one of us would go with older dd. Some rides she fell asleep on (Peter Pan the second time) some rides she couldn't get enough of (Dumbo!!!). Just watch your little one for cues and you'll have a great time!

Thanks for your replies, it's good to know you can take babies on all those things, it's put my mind at rest. Now onto all the other worries.... :teeth: LOL

I have a 2 yr. old and was actually a little concerned that there might not be a lot that he could ride on.

:thumbsup2 to all of you here I'm beginning to see he may have the BEST time of the 3 kids and I was afraid he was going to be too young to enjoy this trip!

We are bringing DD for the first time in August. Is there anything in the other parks for her to do. She'll be 18 mo. Thanks

Gabbymom, we not only brought our daughter when she was 6 months, but also when she was 19 months as well.

Here's a run down of the things a small child can go on.....

MK: things mentioned in post above....and around this age my daughter loved the Pooh's Playground as well.

AK: Rafiki's Planet Watch (a train ride over to another part of the park....there's a petting zoo there), The Boneyard playground, Festival of the Lion King show, It's Tough to be a Bug 4D show (could be a bit scary but my DD was fine when we took her at 21 months - she even wore the glasses), Kilaminjaro Safaris, Maharahjah Jungle Trek, and there's a few little rides in Dino-Land for small children too.

Epcot: I havent been here since having my daughter, so someone else might can fill you in. The last time I went was about 3 years ago and cant completely remember all the attractions.

MGM Studios: The Great Movie Ride, Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground, Muppet Vision 3D, Playhouse Disney Live, Millionaire, and possibly the Backlot Tour.

Thank You I want to make this trip as magical for her as it is for me.

We took DD when she was 3 mo. old, not quite as aware of things at that age. She rode everything that did not have a height restriction. She LOVED "It's a Small World", I don't know if it was the music, the faces, the movement or what but her eyes followed everything. I think you'll be fine.

When my kids were that young, we could take them on all slow moving dark rides because they didn't get scared (i.e. haunted house, snow white, etc.).

My kids are 5 & 2 and they still go on all those rides. Since we went on them often (AP at DL), they got used to them. However, my dd5 won't go on Peter Pan. Maybe it's because you're above the action looking down. I think that the boats have a feeling that you could fall out easily.

My #1 favorite place with a baby at WDW --- Hall of Presidents! It has ac in the summer and heating in the winter. The show last about 20 minutes and it is dark. My kids have fallen asleep in there everytime!!

A lot of the rides at Epcot used to be slow going rides, but they've taken a lot of them out and replaced them with fast rides. Try Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land (boat ride), Crush at Living Seas (kids love the aquarium too), Maelstrom at Norway (one dip), Rio del Tiempo at Mexico (my kids LOVE this ride and usually we go multiple times in a row). Walking around the countries is fun and a baby can veg out in the stroller.

The above suggestions are great and rest assured, there is plenty of things for you to do with a baby.

One other suggestion.... take advantage of the baby centers. The centers at MK and AK are great! They are airconditioned in the summer and heated in the winter, they have nursing sections, changing tables, private potties, high chairs to feed your little ones, microwaves to heat up their food, and at AK, they have a play area with a video running.

Enjoy your trip!!

Thanks for all these suggestions everyone. My DD will be 9 months when we go so this gives me some good ideas!
