Hi all!!!
I'm going to Orlando in Feb (02/13-02/23). Are any attractions closing due to cold weather? Like Popeye or Ripsaw falls?
Thank you!

We'll be there for Mardi Gras.. good question.. I would think Ripshaw & Barges would be if it is anything like it is now...

We were there at Christmas and it was pretty darn chilly (and we are hardy Canucks) and the water rides were all open, however not many were riding and the ones that were appeared fairly unhappy in their soaking clothes. We though about it as we were staying onsite, however it was still too cold to even comtemplate.

I wonder how it was this week. It was so cold down in Orlando this past week and I belive this coming week. I can't imagine riding either of those rides and being soaked and then get off to weather where people are wearing gloves, more than one coat, etc. I can imagine if they are open there are NO lines, lol.

Popeye is closed for refurb. Ripsaw is open, with NO LINE AT ALL. There is, however, a huge increase in poncho sales, and the People Dryer usually has a 15 min wait!

EDIT--This is in response to Melanie C's post.
