Attractions and 14 month old?

Traveling in Oct with 14 month DS and 4 1/2 year old daughter. Just curious about some of the less obvious attractions for my son. Has anyone brought this age onto the teacups, speedway, Carosel of Progress, tiki birds, maelstrom. What has been your experience, good or bad, with a young toddler on any attractions. He has gone at 5 months and 9 months, but now that he's a little more aware of his surroundings, I'm really not sure what his reaction will be.

My great-niece went at 12 months and again at 17 months. She loved the TTA, Carousel of Progress, Great Movie Ride, of course It's a Small World, the Merry-Go-Round, and most of the shows. Her favorite ride--the golf cart at Fort Wilderness!!

Our 12 month old DS really loved Spaceship Earth. DH accidently left his camcorder running throughout SE and we picked up the sound. Besides our talking, you can hear DS gurgling and chattering all the way through the ride. He always did that when he was excited. And now at the age of 8, it's still a hit with him.

We took our son for his 1st birthday. He actually slept through most of the rides (it was pretty warm, and that kept his sleepy). More than anything, he like the shows, especially the hunchback. The 3d shows weren't that great for him, because he didn't wear the glasses. But he wasn't scared or anything. We didn't do any of the "kiddie rides" We might try it this trip (he will be 2 and a half), if he isn't scared.

We went on everything that didn't have a height requirement with our DD when she was 15 months old. Unfortunately, she began to be afraid of some of the louder and darker rides/shows like Peter Pan, Tiki Room, Malstrom, Little Mermaid & Great Movie Ride. She loved the tea cups, IASW, the carosel, Muppet 3-D, the Safari and nursed right through CoP . On our last trip in August (when she was almost 2 years old) we bought a small pen light for her so she could have her own light source for the dark rides. It helped most on Pirates and Pan. We didn't even try the Tiki room again because I was sure that the Tiki Godess would scare the heck out of her.

Everyone here gave great advise, but if I were you, I'd skip Malstrom, parts in there are dark, and there are some really mean looking trolls! Make sure you take time to stop for street preformances as well...esp. The Diamond Horseshoe Review in MK...it's fantastic, and a welcome break.

My DD was the same age as your little one when we took her. She rode on the tea cups, no problem, you control if it does wild spins so we didn't spin it. She also rode the Speedway with her daddy and liked it. We didn't get to any of the others you mentioned. She was fine with everything we took her on, just didn't like the Muppets 3-D show. She fell asleep at Tarzan Rocks and also slept on the Safari at Animal Kingdom.
