Maybe I'm not the first person to realize this, but there is totally a Disney Store in the 'Let's Go to the Mall' video

I can't stop laughing
I am WAYYY too amused by this

I can neither confirm nor deny whether that song is present on our Ipods. :rolleyes1 Love that show!

They played that song at Stormalong Bay in May. I was laughing my butt off.

How many of us are pulling for Jennifer Morrison to be the mother? <raises hand>

I'm SOOOOO torn on that. When I first heard she had joined I instantly thought she had to be the mother. I mean, that's a pretty large addition. Then I was mad because now I think they gave it away, you know? I don't WANT to know who the mother is until the very episode she is unveiled. Adding Jennifer pretty much says "Ok, here's the mom".

LOVEEEEEE Robin Sparkles. The episode with James Vanderbeek (sp) as her high school boyfriend who ran the water park in Ottawa (??) is one of my favorites.

OMG - I didn't realize there was a Disney Store in that scene! We LOVE that episode! It's still on our DVR - I can't bear to erase it! :)

BTW, HIMYM is starting in syndication tomorrow on our local CW station. Might be something for you guys to look into. Lifetime ran them for what seemed like a month, don't know what happened there. But I am so glad I saw this thread so it would remind me to set the DVR.
( I could totally be sweet-talked by someone like Barney;))

I suspect there are a lot of folks who would say (for various reasons) that Morrison cannot possibly be the mother. YMMV. As it is, for me, the show is getting old. I am really getting a little disinterested in the same-old-stuff they've been doing. You listen to some of the stars, especially Jason Segel, and you can tell they're getting bored with it themselves. It shows on-screen, IMHO. Season 6 is the right time to change things up AFAIC. It is time to recreate the series.* And introducing the mother, herself, would do exactly that.

* This past summer, Eureka, in its fourth season, realized that they had to do something to revitalize the series. They did a nine episode alternative time-line arc, and it worked masterfully. Bones is taking a page from Desperate Housewives and other series, who saw fit to shake things up and revitalize things by fast-forwarding a period of time. This isn't something that (arguably predictable) procedurals and sitcoms need to do. They can get away without concerning themselves with moving some over-arching storyline forward. But regular comedies and dramas do need to do so, or they risk becoming stale.

Slightly off topic, you have the best avatar I've ever seen.

I'm not sure how I feel about Jennifer Morrison. Let's meet the character first! Then let the speculation begin.

Also, the bus advertising the syndication on the CW makes me smile almost every day :goodvibes

Here's an interesting (and kind of strange) interview with Jason Segel about his ideas about The Mother and bringing the series to an end.

The only reason I can think of that Jennifer may not be the mother would be the hair color of the kids. There is a message board for this show on Television Without Pity. I think I'll hop on over and see what they are saying. I AM sad that she left House. But I can see her fitting in with the group.

You have a point, there are only so many ways to spin the current cast. Marshall and Lily are out entirely. We've seen Ted and Robin and Barney and Robin. There is no other combination, unless Barney and Ted come out of the closet. And I realize the irony of this statement before I even type it, but I seriously cannot picture Barney as a gay man! :rotfl:

Thank you! I'm currently obsessed (and plan to be so for a long time) with A.D. I just discovered it 3 weeks ago on Netflix and watched the entire series twice!

I wasn't sure if all CW's ran the same programs in syndication or not....I'm glad they are :)
